Also quite weird: I'll actually be at the Ricoh for the first time in 4 years. Been saving up for the bloody Eurostar.

    Blackburn not on ifollow

Lille's all right. Worth visiting the old town, for sure. Local beers are too strong for British folk though. Chelsea found that out a couple of weeks ago - I remember Everton took over the town centre a few years back. Carnage. Otherwise it's an unspectacular big city, really. If you were in...

    Blackburn not on ifollow

Nail my colours to the mast: I think ifollow is ace. Moved abroad in 2003 so fair enough, I've had to accept I just won't get to many games. Life choices. But with ifollow I follow the City home and away and that's just been unbelievable. While it is annoying to find out such and such a...

Match Thread Hull city (H) 16/3/22

I missed the first twenty minutes and their goals. Moore at fault for the first, judging from the replay. Their second goal was a class finish but it all stemmed from Hyam's poor pass, right? Otherwise I struggle to get the blanket negativity going on here. A bad result, but not that bad a...

Luton were a well drilled, physical side. Their yellow cards were carefully spread out round the team. They didn't look a particularly good footballing side tonight though. I suppose they'd worked out they didn't need to be. Otherwise, the usual from us. Looking generally in the ascendancy but...

Not at all convinced by Waghorn, I'm afraid. Second challenge on O'Hare a clear penalty. Gyokeres not scoring his free header a terrific shame. Straight at the keeper but with the power he put on it I still thought it was going in. I didn't like the way we played first half - confident...

Match Thread Southampton FA Cup Match Thread

I suppose it was a fair result. Saints were just a better side in the end. We seemed to suffer more from fatigue than they did: JCS was out on his feet for the final 15 minutes and their lad Broja had him on toast. Sheaf and Gyokeres were immense. I wish Waghorn would turn out to be an alright...

    Ex Player Watch

I turned on L'Equipe TV here in France last Saturday for the 7pm Ligue 2 multiplex show and almost immediately saw Duckens Nazon dribbling about for Normandy-based Quevilly-Rouen. 6 goals for them this season.

Teams you have an irrational liking for

I'll start: Norwich, Plymouth, Blackpool, Yeovil, Forest Green - because of their kits, I suspect. Also admiration/envy/vexation regarding Forest because I grew up in Forest territory and they were our bogey team. I like Hillsborough as a ground very much too.

One of the least flattering kits I've ever seen - those white socks look terrible with the pink and blue shirts. Hummel have been great, but this is bad.

We were loads better second half. I thought a repeat of last week might be on! Their second goal was handball, surely? Probably hard to see for the bodies in the box and to be fair, none of our players appealed. Gyokeres was good, Sheaf too.
