What lesson will SISU learn from yesterday ?

Never a truer word....look at MK Dons, no pipeline but an amazing stadium. Home gates around 7,000 in a 30,000 capacity stadium.

What lesson will SISU learn from yesterday ?

IN my opinion - nothing. They don't give a damn about us supporters. Will they note the potential ? No, they are blind.

    Sixfields or Cheltenham ?

Exactly Nick, I could never support any other team than CCFC, but I love football and if I can watch a game in comfort with Hospitality for just £42.50 for my "fix", I will. I have opted to go and watch Cheltenham v Northampton and hope Northampton lose just to stuff Cardoza for allowing CCFC...

    Sixfields or Cheltenham ?

Living in the Cotswolds I have a soft spot for two local teams -- Forest Green Rovers and Cheltenham Town. I used to travel the 34 miles to the Ricoh (where I did Hospitality), but there is NO WAY I will travel nearly 70 miles to Sixfields to watch CCFC (aged nearly 72). I decided to try...

Wake up Otium and smell the Coffee !

Whilst struggling the get 1,500 - 2,000 Sky Blue supporters to travel to Sixfields - take a look at the 5,000 plus who are prepared to travel a further 20 miles to Milton Keynes, Otium. Not only that, look again at the numbers far in excess of 1,500 - 2,000 who are traveling to away games...

    Joy meets ann

With all the assets now in Otium, it makes everything a lot cleaner and clearer. Should SISU sell Otium at a future date (please God ?) this will certainly help !

FA Cup Away Games - Best / Worst Memories

Playing for Kings Lynn was Terry Bly who became a CCFC favourite - there was uproar when we sold him and bought ------ GEORGE HUDSON to replace him !

Am I the eldest member of SBT at 72 ?

I had a car accident that required major surgery on my eye and therefore you are right, my eyesight was damaged so I have that to contend with as well. To those who say I am a sympathy seeker or wallowing in self pity I would say don't comment unless you know all the facts. When you reach my age...

Am I the eldest member of SBT at 72 ?

Just wondering what the ages are of some of the regular posters on SBT ? Just curious as some don't seem to grasp that at 72 and an OAP I am not as able as I would like to be now to go to away games. In my younger days, I went to every away game, even to Europe to support the Sky Blues in...

SISU has ripped the heart out of 8,000 supporters.

I think Nick is forgetting that I am nearly 72 and not a spring chicken -- at Highfield Road and the Ricoh I had a season ticket which made it much easier. I also had car parking arrangements near both grounds. Bristol is 46 miles away and Swindon is nearer, but at 72 I like to know where I am...

SISU has ripped the heart out of 8,000 supporters.

I'm approaching 72 years of age, having been ever-present at CCFC since 1952 until this season. I live 37 miles from the Ricoh and 51 miles from Sixfields. Even if Sixfields was filled to capacity (7,000) it means that still deprives another 8,000 plus from watching CCFC even if they wanted...

    Borrow my calculator Timmy ?

Playing the way we are - 15,000 - 18,000 at the Ricoh Playing the way we are 1,500 - 2,500 at Sixfields And you're a business man ? Don't make me, as a potential investor, laugh !

    Question for All

No, I wouldn't. Even if Timmy's ridiculous dream of 7,000 was to happen, SISU is still depriving up to an addition 13,000 supporters plus from watching THEIR team. Why take Sky Blues to stadium that only holds 7,000 - it's like ripping the Souls out of the remaining loyal supporters (of whom I...

Throw down the gauntlet - make an offer

Estimated cost of a new 12,000 seater stadium - £25,000,000 - potential losses through playing at Sixfields - £10,000,000 plus. Total £35,000,000. Let's throw down the gauntlet to SISU and tell them to offer £30,000,000 for the Ricoh and benefit from financially in the future...

Question for those living outside of Coventry Re. the future of your support

I live 36 miles south of the Ricoh -- I wouldn't go to Sixfields even if I lived in Coventry (my City of birth) - probably 60 miles from where I live to Sixfields -- supporters outside Coventry were not even considered - I reckon a good 25% live outside Coventry at least, maybe as high as 50%.
