The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

If we stay in the EU labour MEPs ( calculated at the current EU polling ) would swing the balance of power in the EU Parliament to centre left from centre right. Let’s both hope we stay in then. I see the Brexit party have broken away the far right then ( or perhaps not ): „Speaking earlier on...

Funny then, that such despicable beings get selected by the Tory party rather than, say, a pro EU party like the Libdems. Must be something in these qualities that Tories like yourself like.

You said he has always been pro EU. He hasn’t in his writings. That which influences people. I just linked in to his journalist history in the 90s, and you call me a liar. You are just lying because it doesn’t suit your POV.

I said he has been anti EU as a journalist for decades. He still is. He has moved backwards and forwards at times, when it suited ( e.g. as Mayor of London), but he is more famous for the anti EU times which go back to his journalist days in the 90s. False reporting then. False reporting now...

No, you are making it up. You have not gone back to his journalistic days: The road to Brexit was paved with Boris Johnson’s Euromyths | Jean Quatremer

He has been slagging the EU for years. The bendy bananas and his reporting from Brussels years ago. Yes, he has also written pro EU things and even lobbied for Turkey joining the EU. But, he is most known for his anti EU lies. He is a classic opportunist. No surprise he is so popular with he Tories.

Which we are not, unless we take up citizenship of another country. To do this in some countries, such as Holland, you have to give up British citizenship. In Germany you cannot get citizenship until after 8 years and you have to fulfill criteria to do so.

The irony is that the people who have been parroting that the EU is not democratic are scrambling to be elected by an EU democratic system that does not exist in the UK. The UK‘s FPTP democracy is designed to keep people out who are not selected by the main 2 parties. FPTP = winner takes all...

BoJo has also been bashing the EU for years. Sacked twice already for lying as a journalist and now caught lying again: Boris Johnson's no-deal Brexit claim was inaccurate, official watchdog rules Most likely next Conservative leader. You can’t make this up. ( well you could if you were BoJo )

Anyone who plays on fear and resentment will get a fair few votes. It is easy as Cambridge Analytics explained in their sales talks before they got banned. It is harder to show benefits in economic terms as it doesn’t trigger emotions. No one is interested in GDP or increasing per capital...

The costs are not factored in under normal circumstances/ prices. Firms have said they will absorb some of the costs ( means less profits and possibly taking a loss ), but they cannot take all of them, which means higher prices for consumers. In the example of washing machines, the costs of...
