To play devils advocate if King made all season tickets in the ground £100 and they sold out immediately but only 25% of people turned up every week because they now perceived it to be low value and fine to skip multiple games given the price they've paid would you view it the same?

Other industries, airlines and hotels spring to mind, get around this issue by overbooking. Sure there would be no complaints at all if people were turning up to games and not being let in because too many tickets had been sold in a particular area.
