Rose and Jones were two huge plus points for me. You almost forget how good Rose is as he struggled to get to fitness last season. Personally also think Gyökeres will hit double figures for us.

Didn't think DaCosta was as bad as some have made out. He wasn't great by any stretch but 1st half I honestly don't think anyone was. We improved when he went off but that was because we had a settled back 3 with Rose back in - Rose btw played very well. DaCosta's foul throw was ridiculous...

Agree with all of this. Seen a lot of posts saying Hamer wasn't great. He often tries to do too much each time but you can see the quality he has and actually thought he had more influence as the game went on. I like how he takes responsibility and wants to get on the ball as much as possible.

Sounds like Bright won't be on the bench then. I suspected from Robins comments in the week he might not be. Would expect he will start in the cup game in the week if so.

The wages is a difficult balancing act. The majority of our squad came up from League 1 and their wages would be League 1 wages. The players signed last summer will be on better wages and you'd imagine O'Hare, Hamer and Walker would be the top earners. To take the club forward as our revenue...

Rose and Hyam getting covid will have been a factor in bringing Cranie in I suspect as he will have been an extra body even in training. Loads of quality loans will only start to happen from now on now full Premier League squads are returning, and once a couple of the big transfers go through...

There is a long, long way to go in this window. Once the Premier League teams start to loosen the purse strings I can see some top Championship teams testing our resolve for Hamer and O'Hare.
