We are not keeping the existing coaching set up. That is clear. We will have a new head coach who will choose his own Assistant. That assistant will be a high quality proven coach and tactician. The very appointment King wanted Robins to make. Some of the existing coaches will go back to...

He talked about using the CEO’s / Owners of Premier League clubs for advice too.

Jesus not this again. Yes he is. All the assets of Coventry City are his, any income that arises from them are is. Whether he then banks that income personally or reinvests it in the club is his decision. Either way it’s his money.

Was our success due to Robins or was it actually Vivash?

We were in the top division for a good chunk of that time not lg2 and 1. Therefore using win% is pretty flawed as a comparative measure.

Right who's the next manager then?

Im amazed how people have found the change of job title so confusing. Cov Tele writers clearly confused based on their latest article. We are not recruiting a guy to take training we are recruiting the manager, who in modern terminology is referred to as a head coach because they don’t...

Doug also said he had built up a small football network of football CEO’s in the Premier League who were kind enough to give him some of their time and offer advice. My guess would be Brighton, Brentford, Bournemouth etc who have found a way of sustaining a smaller club in the Premier League...

Mutual effect is normally just a face saving phrase for the departing manager but is only possible if the departing manager wants the footballing world to think he agrees it wasn’t working, he had his frustrations too, etc etc and better to part ways ….. I suspect Mark wouldn’t have agreed to that.

Not with my search skills but i guess if you went back to the period he was appointed for the second time you could probably find it.

Because I’ve been around a while i remember a Huddersfield fan coming on here when we hired Robins for a second time saying that Robins needed a good number 2 to be at his best and that he wasn’t convinced that Taylor was that man. Someone with better search skills than me could probably find...

    Loans conundrum

I think we are ignoring the fact by championship standards we have spent a tonne of money on incoming players of our own. Most teams don’t have that luxury and have to use loans to supplement their starting eleven.

One thing is consistent …. DK felt the new coaches were not yet experienced enough to guide us to promotion, players were telling their friends etc that the coaching standards had dropped, too many voices etc. DK gave Mark 3 choices bring in a proven assistant Make of the existing your...

Pure speculation on my part but it maybe that Mark was tired of the challenge of managing a strong and vocal assistant and / or nervous of appointing someone who may even become his successor and therefore felt that a young group of hungry but less challenging coaches was the answer that worked...

I think Rob G was poor last night. He obviously practiced and executed a really good and emotional first question and Doug’s response totally flawed him. It didn’t suit the narrative he had told himself. He then largely came across as a confused fan not a BBC reporter. Rob saying he didn’t...

Not as high a risk as leaving fans to believe all of the made up stories as to why the owner isolated Robins, forced Adi out, imposed the wrong back room staff, to stubborn to allow MR to bring in an assistant, banned experienced players and loans etc etc etc I listened. I was pleased with the...
