Because he was specifically asked a question on it by Turner and as we all know some fans believe its the lack of midfield strength that cost Robins his job. Not everything in a conspiracy.

Ruud Van Nistelrooy applies for Coventry Job

I think the idea of not choosing someone because if they are successful other clubs will tempt them away is folly. This happens at every level of football. If we choose someone who gets us promoted, we then stay in the Premier League, and he then leaves i’m 100% ok with that.

It was implied through out that Mark was opposed to have a number 2 an experienced assistant, and instead wanted a flat back room set up. DK challenged it in the summer and at their meeting on Sept 30. Robins never put forward an assistant to King. King confirmed it wasn’t about package either...

Right who's the next manager then?

Maybe he paused because he was thinking yes I’ll give the new guy more than I was prepared to give Mark because I had reservations about whether he was the right man for us.

Maybe it was not authorised by Robins, but it was by the club. AV might have thought that OK, Robins might have thought that AV should have asked his permission too. I rather suspect the article was the final straw in a strained relationship rather than the issue in itself. .

    Frank Lampard Rumours

No it’s certainly possible but it’s not probable otherwise the majority of the teams in the bottom 6 at this stage of the season would end up in play offs and they clearly don‘t. We have a good squad that needs enhancing and we need a new head coach and back room team. Indivs will take a...

    Frank Lampard Rumours

Not correct. the data tells us that we are averaging 1 point a match over the end of last season and this. He was not confident that our previous track record of turning around poor starts would continue without Adi and Dennis. He mahave picked up the sub standard training feedback from the...

Clubs are not normally allowed to do that.

    Frank Lampard Rumours

There will be a period of adjustment I’m sure but you would hope the last 2 months would see us in top 6 form, however given we will be well behind the top 6 by then i think a top 8-10 finish is more realistic.

    Frank Lampard Rumours

Yes that Pep Guardilola was an awful player, and Carlo Ancelotti Great players don’t ALWAYS make great managers but they sometimes do …..

    Loans conundrum

It really is. Often that fee is linked to appearances. The more they play the less the club pays on the basis the player is getting the development the club want. I’m not sure where you get your data from but mine is from a current championship CEO. I have no reason to believe he would mislead me.

Right who's the next manager then?

Is that an inside snippet @Saddlebrains or just you agree with @Terry Gibson's perm logic ?

    Loans conundrum

I think that is wishful thinking Cam. The best loans ( young or old ) always come with a loan fee and a % of their salary. The greed of Premier league clubs means than 7 figure loan fees are not unusual. I personally think their is a place for loans but i prefer them with a view to buy...

    Frank Lampard Rumours

The good news i think is that candidate like Lampard, RVN etc will ensure that it remains a story that the press report on and might help attract good quality candidates. I suspect they knew their ideal short list ahead of the sacking but there will always be new candidates that emerge once the...

Right who's the next manager then?

All depends on whether the new owners keep breaking their promises to him:

That’s how CEO’s drive transformational change initially whilst in parallel putting in the team that can continue that more independently. I think this is what we are seeing occurring.

We don’t have an assistant currently, nor any hierarchy amongst the coaches, that wont be the same going forward. That is clear.

I know …my point is whilst your list failed so do the other options we tried …..

Will we have a new “head coach” in the dugout for the Sheff Utd game?

It doesn’t actually matter …. The only thing that matters is getting it right
