    Championship thread 24/25!

I don't think Luton were a fluke, they were in and around playoffs for a couple of years. And they gave it a reasonable go...... had they not absolutely collapsed in the 2nd half vs Forest they'd have probably stayed up. Definitely unique, in terms of club size, ground, etc....... but not a...

Spotting fellow Cov fans in the wild

Late 90s early 00s it was pretty commonplace to wear football tops to raves...... would see City fans in droves at the Sanctuary in Milton Keynes. But would see many other tops too...... Man CIty, Wolves, Leeds, Liverpool, Newcastle..... always plenty of them about too. Used to be one guy...

Your local county (Devon?) Athletics Association will be able to let you know which competitions your club are eligible for.... I'd imagine there's a county/area cross country league...... and if your club is affiliated to England/Uk Athletics, should be eligible for county/regional cross...

Nice one! Cov Godiva stayed up in the top league of the cross country on saturday, by the skin of our teeth, in a "great escape" that would make the Sky Blues blush. Four teams battling to avoid two remaining relegation places..... we ended up in the final relegation place, but then league...

Match Thread Coventry City - Queens Park Rangers Match Thread - Tuesday 11th Feb

The first season at the Ricoh was pretty lively...... we also played Luton early on and there was trouble before the game. And i think the Birmingham game where there was a lot of trouble was quite early as well.

I think the women's game had a real chance to become something different to the men's game..... however its been pretty clear over several years that "they" (the people in charge of the game, and the broadcasters) just wanted the same teams as the men's game up at the top. The very cynical...

Was Doug correct about the deck?

So do we still need an entire new defence..... or is that going to be reserved for next time we lose 2 in a row?

    Sheffield Wed Away Tickets

Its been a while since i went to Brammall Lane (that friday night game in the Leon Clarke era when we won in the last minute) But the away end was almost identical to the West Terrace. Still prefer Hillsborough.... proper traditional ground.... despite the recent hostilities, generally been...

    Sheffield Wed Away Tickets

Sheffield Wednesday is possibly my favourite away day of them all. (obviously £30+ is ridiculous, whichever club is charging it)

So I am awful at betting but

Don't think we're playing well enough to maintain the run needed to get in the playoffs.

Midlands Cross Country Championships yesterday at Mallory Park, on a fantastic course, one of the best i've ever raced on..... varied, hilly, rough.... a real test. A pretty good day for Cov Godiva.... Team Bronze medal in the ladies. In the men, i was 7th Godiva (6 count for the team)...

    Luton

Exactly. They were the better of two poor teams in the final, and of the three teams apart from ourselves in the playoffs, i'd have liked to see them go up most. They made a fist of trying to stay up. Still think they'd have survived had they not thrown away that game against Forest...

    Premier League - closed shop?

As much is i'd like them to, Sunderland aren't showing any signs of dropping off yet. Be amazed if they weren't comfortably in the playoffs.

    Defence sorted?

Two games ago we needed to sell the entire defence (apparently)
