Meeting with Joy Seppala & Dave Boddy - Thursday 27th February 2020

Just don't see the council signing anything with the club or genuinely being interested in working with these (or probably any other) owners in a site for a new stadium. Their position seems to be there is no need for a 2nd stadium and that CCFC should just go back to the Ricoh. Aren't...

another boxer vs. puncher. Should be a good one. Maybe one day it'll top the bill in its own right like it deserves to

They all made it too personal. Still so much seems to be about ego. Eg. ACL statements telling the owners to sell up and get out of Coventry not conducive to constructive decision making. Everyone may have been thinking that but wasn't helpful. An ill-conceived school of thought back then that...

No different from Highfield Road where itk companies bought up certain sites around the ground before the sale was announced.(supposedly to keep prices down)

Meeting with Joy Seppala & Dave Boddy - Thursday 27th February 2020

When a new stadium was first mooted years back (alongside pretty diagrams) Fisher was quite clear it would be a Propco. Does negate the possibilty of some of the financial shenanigans currently going on with certain Championship clubs re: stadium ownership :)

Don't think anyone should be in any doubt about that. Use of PR companies at times highlights a cynical approach from various parties. Use of NDAs/ commercial confidentiality etc. (going all the way back to the original SISU purchase of the club) means all parties can continue to throw inane...

What have I missed on this? Is there an unabridged version of a meeting with duggins?

Trump is my favourite comedian of the year already

Last time some voted for Trump - anti-Hilary, Trump considered anti-establishment like Sanders, some trade policy similarities. Enough supported Trump in 3 key states to swing the election (in electoral college seats).

Derek probably isn't keen. he has a lot to lose - hasn't he got 18m in loans tied up in Wasps? Also what sort of legal issues revolve around the issuance of the bond if it is found to have been undervalued by the Council?

Looks like you're right - establishment going to try and squeeze Sanders out. Bloomberg will be gone soon so his support will transfer to Biden as well. Basically a 2 horse race.

The multiple NDAs are at the heart of the matter. So much speculation on what may or may not be happening.

Meeting with Joy Seppala & Dave Boddy - Thursday 27th February 2020

mentioned in an earlier thread we're considering a claim against a local European authority re:state aid and a building sale. Once a complaint is reported it can't be withdrawn or forgotten. (Some EU govts/authorities may not be above applying pressure on complainants to drop cases). I've...

Agree with most of this. First part is basically SISU's claimed standpoint anyway. In terms of building relationships think many of those bridges were burnt a long time (from both sides). If the Commission comes back and says there is no case to answer then legal action has to stop (SISU have...

Have to figure in market rate will drop if only one potential buyer. Also the deal wasps got with the extended lease was a very attractive one. Shouldn't be difficult to attract investment if coupled with championship football. Also increases possibilities for getting SISU out as ccfc becomes...

Meeting with Joy Seppala & Dave Boddy - Thursday 27th February 2020

The playing field has radically shifted since the original lease. 1. The possibility of a significantly extended lease. Revalues everything. 2.removal of higgs trust from the equation. That relationship was a problematical.

    Figure?

Club did claim that wasps were making around 2m per year from match day associated income. Club claimed that was 20 times more than the club were making. Had to verify exactly without detailed information. Maybe loosely possible when comparing wasps accounts but obviously that's a year away.
