We've had Blamange on the bench for the last couple of games but he's been replaced by Ponticelli today.

Hmmm. Funny old game. Goals: 1st goal a gift. Looked like Meyler's man for theirs, just drifted towards the ball for the goal and left the man free. Great run and strike from Hiwula, just wish he was better with his back to goal so he could get more time centrally. This formation fails us...

Not sure that's his natural role/position. Feel like he knows he's supposed to be playing as the experienced head and is over doing the composure.

Hope this ref ups his game. This Fleetwood team are gonna try and test him at every opportunity. They're already pissing me off.

Good confidence from Williams to be playing those long diagonals.

I mentioned that last week too. Never in a position to just throw Bremang on for the hell of it for 30 minutes or give Grimmer 20 mins here and there when we're 3-0 up. Always either scraping to protect our 1 goal lead or to get back into a game. Robins seems to hate to change a winning line up...

Lots to look forward to even with a weakened line up on paper. Looking forward to Bayliss playing further forward, seeing how Williams has developed since the Checkatrade games, how Shipley does for a full 90 in his favoured position, seeing Meyler with a few weeks of proper training in his legs.

Given the pressure Kelly is under, I don't think it is a bad ball back. Burge just has to take a few steps forward and put his laces through it, something that I would expect any L1 keeper to be able to do on either foot. If anything a slow low bouncing ball is easier to clear away on your wrong...

    New keeper?

Any examples of the players you mean? Can't think of many players who have become better after leaving us, other than players like Wilson, Maddison, Fleck who were young and sold on to better things.

Not like it was fizzed at him either, would have barely reached the goal it was hit so softly. If it had been Stockdale who had made that mistake I don't think anyone would be mentioning the pass back.

This is where Robins weird subs and our inability to put games to bed hurt us. Players can sit on the bench for months and not get game time as we never have the luxury of chucking players on in the last 20-30 just for match sharpness. Brown and Grimmer who all arguably could start on Tuesday...

Do you have any fucking clue what was going on at Leyton orient that season?

Was this ref a bloke from the crowd who won a HT competition?

I don't understand why he gets such little flak for his misses? He must have missed as many simple chances over the season than the rest of our forwards put together (which is saying something). Today's was a pivotal moment.

Never a 2nd yellow, he just slips on the pitch.

Good news is Burton's 'equalisers conceded' rate is 50% away from home and they've conceded a fair few goals straight after HT. Need to be back on it from the whistle.

Only needs small tweaks to get back in this. I'd go Brown for Mason at HT, push the backline up higher and bang the front 4s heads together until they can't overthink things anymore.. And in the week, practice crossing and bi-line pullbacks as we are so poor at both.

You just can't be that slow to pass or shoot against a team that are working as hard as Burton to get men behind the ball.

Those Burton counter attacks have pushed our defence too deep and now the gaps between our lines are too big. Now our passes are having to travel too far to go direct from defence<midfield>attack so we go wide for an easy pass and lose momentum or long and don't get anywhere near it. Then if we...
