Neither side looking comfortable on the ball because of the pitch but Blackpool look especially worried by it. Would think they'd feel at home with this much sand about.

I love Sterling. Everything he does looks so effortless. He's got that knack of looking like he's about to give a foul away but coming away cleanly with the ball. Seems to very rarely give the ball away or concede a foul.

Has there been any update on why Sterling was missing and for how long for? I thought Grimmer did ok for 60 minutes until he scuffed that clearance for the goal and then his crossing in the last 20 minutes was poor. Really missed Sterling's composure in the final third in the end.

Football doesn't work in generations, it is a constant production line of hundreds of players coming into and leaving the game every year. There were many black players in the Premier League even 20 years ago, we had Dublin, Williams, Shaw, Paul Hall, Marcus Hall, Boateng in our squad then...

Now that one I totally agree with, has to score there, especially under the circumstances. Had time and space to pick his spot.

Danger for us is that our back 4 is very slow - none of Grimmer, Davies, Hyam are quick, so we can't afford to give away cheap possession and get caught on the break.

Constantly defend him on every single occasion? Any other example? You're doing what Grendel always does - just sitting on the match thread reinforcing your own confirmation bias and it wrecks the match thread because it's nothing like what is actually unfolding - a young team playing creative...

The ball came to him at waist height with 4 plymouth players and a goalkeeper in front of him. If you're infuriated byy this performance you should go walk the dog.

It wasn't really a one on one for Chaplin. The keeper was on top of him after his touch to take him past the last defender. Had absolutely loads to do with essentially 1 touch.

Think Kelly suffered today in that before we scored it was 9 players on 5 whenever he looked up with the ball. There was also not much of an outlet on the left side. Bright was all over the place and Mccallum very shaky controlling the 30 yard switches Kelly is so good at. Was forced to go...

Genuinely can't believe how poor Luke Thomas' finishing is. The amount of times he doesn't even hit the target is shocking. He could be pushing 12 goals this season already. Such a good player up to the penalty box.

That's the idea yeah. Would have needed a full knee replacement in 15 years otherwise together with arthritis in it. Wife and daughter visiting today. Will be a race against time to get them out before kick off. Will feign drowsiness from the painkillers if I have to!

ACL replacement, some cartilage repair and then they broke my leg to straighten some curvature that had developed because of the previous injuries. Basically they cut through 3/4s of my shin bone, straightened the leg and then screwed in a bone graft from my hip into the gap the straightening...

Got injured at the start of November having just broken into their team which is why he didn't play much.

I reckon this thread has been started by Jack Grimmer so he can gather some material for 'bants' with his old mate Tom.

Aside from the Wycombe game at home where he did play half a dozen excellent diagonal passes I don't think his distribution is that great. The one player in the squad who is probably slower than Doyle too and with a bigger turning circle - defensively he is all over the place when the ball goes...
