    Championship incomings 2021-22 Summer window

Quite probably a combination of both Fatso. The wheels on the gravy train had to come off eventually.

Ahem CKNQ, ROYAL Leamington Spa!! Nice area, always liked going there on the Midland Red bus as a kid.

    Fixture Predictions

I'd very much like us to be drawn away against Fulham on a bright crisp Autumn afternoon. It's been a very long time since we were last there, hope whenever the fixture we can take significant numbers and all enjoy watching us play at a lovely old ground, the new riverside stand thats taking...

    Fixture Predictions

Fancy Bournemouth on a warm sunny Saturday afternoon at THE COVENTRY ARENA (knickers to the building society bit) and Hamer and company give them a right good spanking.

Forgive me, I'm not after any sympathy here. I've recently had a full knee replacement and have had a couple of infections one in the wound and one in the ankle and I'm feeling a bit rubbish right now. My mobility is significantly better post op but I'm not relishing the thought of the second...

    Players and Managers Considerations

Very true SAJ which is why I started the thread given that players and managers aren't in post for long. I wondered whether other members thought similar to me.

    Players and Managers Considerations

I have to say its not an area I know very well and in fairness I'm not attracted to. I'm sure it has its positives.

    Players and Managers Considerations

Agree Hobo, neighbouring counties mentioned are lovely, I particularly like the Leicestershire/Northamptonshire border. Personally think that living somewhere nice and being a shortish commute from doing something you really enjoy (like being a professional footballer) makes for a very...

    Players and Managers Considerations

I live just 10 miles north of Stoke duck in The Staffordshire Moorlands. It's an absolutely beautiful part of the country bordering onto The Peak District. Stoke on Trent and neighbouring Newcastle under Lyme itself......... there's some very nice parts, very desirable properties which would be...

    Players and Managers Considerations

I was just wondering if players and managers when a move to another club is on the table consider the local surroundings with regard to amenities, quality of schools for their children, nightlife, restaurants etc etc Some parts of the country are more attractive to live in than others, fact. Or...

    Bricks at the Ricoh

Has the giant faded red Ricoh signs been taken down yet or is it not officially The Coventry Building Society Arena until the 1st July?

    Missing the old stadiums

Its not so much the 'off the shelf' stadia that is common place now, it's the half completed redeveloped grounds that haven't been finished for a variety of reasons that I don't like. Grounds like St James Park Newcastle, Old Trafford Manchester, City Ground Nottingham, Elland Road Leeds spring...

    Missing the old stadiums

Again Craven Cottage has/is being modernised but has retained its individuality.

    Missing the old stadiums

Wasn’t there a dirty great Normid Superstore stuck in the corner of one of the goal ends.

    Missing the old stadiums

I liked Highbury because I adore art deco architecture. I have to say Villa Park and Ibrox are fine old fashioned proper grounds that have been modernised.
