    Championship thread 23/24

Have you had a run in with them at some point? Over the years I've never really had a problem with their fans (and they've had a lot to put up with). Just curious, as there are many fan bases who I have a lot less time for (having encountered most over the years)

Think he set an incremental style price hike for them, where (for example) Week 1 £400, Week 2 £450,..... Week 7 £600. Did this early doors, when fans didn't know what division they'd be in, but if they waited to see, their ST had increased massively. See link (scary!)...

Barry Bannan's legs will eventually go (he's about 57 or so now) and their side seems to revolve around him. Thought Sunderland might go for their manager (who does seem to have got them organised) but Wednesday will forever be hamstrung whist Chansiri is at the helm. The ground is falling apart...

    Summer transfer window 2024

Nooooooooooo - re: Leicester (I have a Leicester supporting ST holder mate, who I've got to spend the weekend with in Devon - luckily accompanied by another 5 Cov fans, which will be testing our friendship 🤣) Re: Hellas (very important win today v the Viola) - I may have to wait until I can...

    Summer transfer window 2024

Yep - he's on a contract, so someone will have to match his current wages (and that won't be us)

    What did Ipswich get right?

100% with you on the last point (as in my eyes are failing me - often ask my mate 'who was that?' during the game  )

    Crossroad summer ahead

Well said? Is that an anagram of bedwetter? MR has said the club will be taking a hard stance and is in a strong position this summer regarding transfers and retaining players, unless record bids received. Certainly not panicking about losing Sheaf and Wright and the squad being dismantled. We...

    What did Ipswich get right?

Funnily enough, the Sunderland forum, who cover all televised games, were commenting on our recent game with Ipswich about how both teams get the ball forward far quicker than they do.

Match Thread Coventry City - Queens Park Rangers Match Thread - Saturday 4th May

Battled well second half and a bit unlucky - keeper made some fine saves. Re: QPR. Why did Chair act the tawt after his goal? Celebrate with your own fans. Secondly, please tell me that those gobby QPR fans making their way down the side after the game chanting 'we saw you cry on the telly'...

Match Thread Coventry City - Queens Park Rangers Match Thread - Saturday 4th May

In honour of Legends day, I'm donning my signed Max Biamou white City shirt, so if you see me in said shirt, covered in black marker pen signatures, you'll know it's me. Say hi if you want, and claim your free beer (funded by @Grendel ) 🤣. PUSB! ( Edit - Max always seemed a stocky bloke, but the...

Agree @Otis - he can't be tired, and even if he is, I've learned on here that this is no excuse.

    Concerned now

It's a tough old league to win 3-0 and 4-0 fairly regularly. That said, we have scored 3 goals in 6 or 7 away fixtures(iirc) including Wembley. Somebody will correct me!
