    Fisher in Telegraph Today

to summarise TF Unless ACL and its shareholders give up income then there is no long term future to the club TF was written a carefully worded piece to the CT applauding the "help" he is getting from Council and Charity and making it clear that it will be down to them now if the club fails...

    Fisher in Telegraph Today

Taking a guess that player wages was in region of £7m last season (inc NI ). This coming season the Turnover as it stands is going to be less than circa £6m I would guess. That would equate at 65% to a player wages budget at £3.9m. We have saved with the recent departures something like £2m (?)...

    Fisher in Telegraph Today

How can any business be successful if - it doesn't know its budget - it doesn't monitor its cost to the extent that its plans change almost weekly - it doesn't seem to have a plan as to what it is trying to achieve, continually down grading to match cost cutting - it continually seeks to...

    Interesting article in Daily Mail

I doubt the local government rules would permit the council to take over the club. It is one thing investing in a capital project like building a stadium that can have a wide community use quite another investing annually in a loss making high risk private company when you are on a fixed budget...

Takeover ? This is for real this time

If the parties involved in the latest meeting manage to thrash a deal out in the next couple of weeks then that could well put Hoffman's potential for a deal in doubt, certainly in the short term. At the very least put the price of settlement up.

    club statement on offal

That sounds good enough to me DTD :)

    The timing is amazing

not saying its a bad thing rob but it isnt a short term thing. yes they pay ACL the rent but they cant get it out again until ACL start making distributions on the shares .... and that might not happen for years So in effect the situation is the same as now but the club have a fixed asset...

    The timing is amazing

but they are not going to be buying half the stadium they are going to buying half the shares in ACL - if it happens at all

Takeover ? This is for real this time

Hi Clemy  Yes I realise FDKG isnt going to be the investor in CCFC. The CT implied there was great substance to them and Mr Grant, just doesnt seem to be that much, from the information i can find. If he can arrange the deal then well done him. I am just wary of folk making claims that...

Takeover ? This is for real this time

Personally NLHWC I am neither for or against any new owners right now, simply because there are no good accurate solid facts.Think you know my stance on SISU. However if it turns out to be more of the same that the current and previous owners have brought then I am going to be fairly non plussed...

Takeover ? This is for real this time

on the basis that the council have said they are not for selling their shares anyone consider whether the charity had actually been spoken to by anyone regarding any of this, or whether the option is capable of being actioned by the club at this time (it is the club that can no one else). You...

Takeover ? This is for real this time

Believe it when I see it - think that's the only way you can take this

    The timing is amazing

I agree the long term potential of the Ricoh is good value at £10m - so long as you have £10m to lock away for a number of years with no return. The Tesco site is actually anything to do with ACL as it was sold to Tescos to finance the stadium The deal may or may not be on - just saying what...

Takeover ? This is for real this time

Actually legally they are not the share holders responsibility at all if they have fully paid for their shares .......... thats the whole point of limited companies .......... limited liability The responsibility for all of CCFC's debts rests with CCFC The owners do not need to put in any more...

    The timing is amazing

ACL is an entirely seperate body that has a 40 year lease with CCFC - buying the 50% shares does not change that. If you buy shares in Brit Gas PLC it doesnt get you a price cut or a share in their income. It might get you a dividend but it is a stated policy that ACL will not pay dividends...

Takeover ? This is for real this time

what about the PAYE or VAT, players wages, utilities etc ?
  17. oldskyblue58

    The timing is amazing

half ownership (a) is not guaranteed (b) does not guarantee a rent reduction (c) doesnt mean CCFC gets any more income at all

Takeover ? This is for real this time

Actually any of the clubs creditors could petition the courts for the club to be placed in administration or to be wound up whether there is this supposed hoffman bid or not. Don't see how this supposed takeover actually alters that.

Now call me thick here .....

I agree Otis - they had plenty of time, could have prepared two budgets one for league 1 and one for the Championship. SISU could have made it clear they were prepared to underwrite the coming season but chose to say they wouldn't fund further. They were very aware of what was going on and the...

Now call me thick here .....

Can't submit them until such time as the auditors sign them off. The auditors cannot complete their audit until such time as there is a clear plan (or budget to go forward) The directors are duty bound to consider a period of at least 12 months from date of them signing the accounts in respect...
