    1998-2005 boardroom controversy and tales

The council got paid £21m by way of lease premium....... which is what ACL had an option to do, either to pay an annual rent of £1.9m or pay a one off lease premium of £21m to the freeholder. The loan for the premium payment remains within the ACL accounts. It is not an unusual transaction...

    Britains Hidden Hungry

certainly does Nick ....... she was prepared to take responsibility for herself just needed a helping start ....... the others summed up the stereotypical view of dole scroungers. I suspect however there are a lot like that young lady but you never get to hear their stories

    Britains Hidden Hungry

what struck me was the difference in attitudes ....... the guy who was obtaining goods by deception, using his son to con people, telling bare faced lies, the woman who couldnt make ends meet but had a house full of dogs and kids playing computer games on a huge tv, living off takeaways ...

    1998-2005 boardroom controversy and tales

The damage to CCFC is entirely self inflicted, as you say shambolic management. Whilst it can be argued that the rent at £1.2m is currently too expensive I dont see any real justification for CCFC getting the facilities rent free, that is simply not commercial for either party and ignores the...

    1998-2005 boardroom controversy and tales

from the 2002 CCFC H accounts "the group had an option to acquire the land on which the stadium is to be developed which lapsed during the year" So they no longer had the right to the freehold interest by 31/05/02 the joint venture with the Council was to start after 31/05/02 by which time...

    Ricoh Arena

Sorry Valiant SISU funds are owed money ...... SISU do not owe money to any of the CCFC creditors.......... they have no responsibility to pay the rent or other creditors, thats all down to CCFC. The frustartion with that of course is that the club has acted under SISU instructions and incurred...

    1998-2005 boardroom controversy and tales

The details of the Ricoh project and its funding are held in a council report dated 26 june 2006. Total cost was £118m including the purchase of the land. CCFC never actually owned the site. Tesco didnt pay £65m to the council, they paid £42m in cash and £17m in kind - that in kind payment...

Played our best football this season under AT?

I think it was always asking too much to see this campaign as a nailed on promotion one. This is not an easy division. Some of the quality is not there but there are plenty of teams that work hard and get in your face. As yet we have not found our feet in this division and largely fail to...

Anybody want a job at Coventry City?

I think the interesting part is who CCFC are advertising with .... The Aspire Group........... am guessing a change in marketing direction http://www.theaspiregroupinc.com/ one of their clients is our M69 neighbours

    Ricoh Arena

clearly the Ricoh Arena and ACL are not filled with inertia by being associated with CCFC. They are making decisions and planning for the future. http://www.conference-news.co.uk/news/2012/10/25/Ricoh-Arena-appoints-new-Business-Development-Manager/4980 note the bit about £3m being spent...

Played our best football this season under AT?

sorry don but I have got to disagree with some of that........ A lot of the writing was already on the wall pre season ....... the squad wasnt going to perform to any great standard under AT and in those first three games we got points inspite of the performances. If anything 3 points...

Never thought I would do it

Just as I finish posting the above I get an email from CCFC saying the team is not just 11 men and would i like a season ticket - spooky ...... perhaps they do read the forums then

Never thought I would do it

If the club monitor forums etc it surely has to seriously worry them the number of people saying they have all but given up. This season despite getting relegated things were supposed to get better, we were supposed to give it a good go. Not putting blame on MR the damage was done before he...

Anybody want a job at Coventry City?

basically they want a good looking but cheap cold call sales person that is chatty so they can do the odd event or stadium tour. There is no job security because it is offered as maternity cover. Fail to see why you need a degree to do the job. Wouldnt recommend the job to my daughter thats for...

Players good enough to be in a top six team in league 1

Can only judge on what has been seen ............. as a group clearly none of them are but as individuals then for me only Murphy, Wood and McGoldrick. No consistency in any of the other players...... all play well for a half or less then disappear in every game ...... but as a group rarely play...
