Perhaps he was on a bike then?! Seems quick to me, but not impossibly so for a younger person? I've never been an elite national level runner or professional sports person, but have managed 4 min km pace regularly in my 20s.

@SBT For reference he did a 30km at 4:55 pace (long run, but that's not particularly quick) and a 21km at 3:27 (I'd regard that as a quick pace for someone of his build / stature). He's 'Cal Ohare' on Strava, apologies I don't know how to link. There's a runner person on here who I'm sure...
