Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

I think we rejected the MVE approach from Wolfsburg, which didn't meet our valuation. We then offered him to Wolves apparently (possibly among others, who knows) but they had other targets so we were left to sell Sheaf, who we now know that Wrexham had been interested in for some time. I think...

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

It looks pretty likely that Sheaf was sold in the end to fund the Woolfenden deal as it seemed at the time...

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

Wrexham boss admits that the move for Sheaf wasn't as sudden as many believed it to be... "He's someone we've been looking at for a while and like ever, negotiations can drag out." https://www.coventrytelegraph.net/sport/football/football-news/wrexham-boss-makes-coventry-city-32450238

    One for the future!

    Kai Andrews

It's probably one of those tight calls. He needs to play, Lampard knows that and he's said it about the young players before, so that must be the intention to give him minutes. Hard to believe that he couldn't find a loan. If he doesn't end up playing much we'll probably see him going out in Jan.

Transfer Rumour Bassette to FC Utrecht

He will have complained about being dropped and took his ball home probably. Who can blame him when Simmo couldn't score in a knocking shop (as the saying goes!)

    Haji Wright Injured?

and he'll be hungry to get his place back well in time for the WC

Transfer Rumour Bassette to FC Utrecht

We supposedly have an option to recall in Jan, which would trump all other clauses, I suppose. Their option might be no more than first dibs we just don't know. The club made nothing of either of these terms in its statement it was all at the other end.

    Jay Dasilva

Put it this way, would we accept no goals and no assists from Milan? I think the straight answer is no we wouldn't so why Dasilva? That is why Brau has be brought in and to give some cover to Mason-Clark.

    Haji Wright Injured?

Lost his place when he was sent home injured in the summer is probably a bit fairer to him than not selected. He'll need to wait for another chance.

We won't miss the 0 goals and 0 assist from last season very much! We need more from him if he's going to play regularly.

Does anyone else feel that we’ve been sold short ?

Exactly, nothing will be said! Another approach is to an agree a short statement aong the lines of "talks are taking place and some progress is being made..." My impression is that the club might have been looking at Hughes, with Woolfenden, or one or the other but needed to raise funds. We...

Does anyone else feel that we’ve been sold short ?

Don't worry Chris it's good thing not be gullible! The way the transfer window plays in the press is all about advertising for them and the "facts" come second third and fourth. In any protracted negotiation that I've been involved there will be an agreement between sides about what to say, if...

    Transfer Rumour Miguel Ángel Brau

Yes he's probably done the behind him thing with the knee already. Ouch!

Does anyone else feel that we’ve been sold short ?

I know there's a lot more to serious negotiations with millions of pounds at stake than that trivial nonsense. It's all click bait!

Does anyone else feel that we’ve been sold short ?

Yes, it's still a while before the next accounts are due.
  18. S

Does anyone else feel that we’ve been sold short ?

Yes but perhaps not if the total losses start becoming £25 or £30m over the 3 years all of a sudden. As you rightly said it's as much about the wages

Does anyone else feel that we’ve been sold short ?

Clearly the big value in his investment comes with promotion but the finances are so delicately balanced. The thing that persuaded him to sack Robins in the end was threat to the income streams of a relegation fight.
