Telegraph says we have bought the Brandon speedway site.

If you look at the map just down the road is Lawyer's Spinney ....... seems appropriate too !

    Will Appleton go.......

didnt say i approved of it ........ but I suspect it is going to be very difficult to prove he has done anything wrong. I also think someone other than PA has planned the SISU road map in this process which dictates what happens as far as SISU and the administration is concerned. Got to keep in...

Telegraph says we have bought the Brandon speedway site.

Thats an interesting thought LS ........ so following that on would that mean at some point Ryton will be sold to help finance..... should this all turn out not to be more smoke & mirrors

    Will Appleton go.......

I do not think PA has broken any rules or laws. The whole process was structured in a particular way to achieve a particular outcome in my opinion. This has dictated the actions for him to take or not take.

Telegraph says we have bought the Brandon speedway site.

Just out of interest what is the legal status of "CCFC" or the "Club" or "Coventry City FC" ? The entities that could/would secure anything contract wise are CCFC H, Otium, SBS&L, Sconset Capital or SISU or a new company

Telegraph says we have bought the Brandon speedway site.

Building a stadium on the site of a stadium is plausible it is the associated items that will be a problem remember TF said that the stadium would be part of a much bigger development where the other parts help finance the stadium build so (a) access is a problem, and like it or not impacts...

    A Deal Is Simple Really

having a lease (and to .... one that is viewed as good as freehold) has never stopped a tenant from bidding to buy the freehold, nor would it stop a tenant taking an interest in the management company. But a lease agreeable to both sides would secure CCFC in Coventry quickly - the main problem...

    A Deal Is Simple Really

Just giving an alternative that might work cc4l nothing more. Gives tenant and landlord long term security, lease adds to asset value on club and arena, allows time to rebuild a partnership with the club, keeps the possibility of more available to the club, ties the club to the arena, can be...

    A Deal Is Simple Really

or just negotiate 125 year lease at a low rent say £100k. They dont have to agree to giving up any ownership. Would that give access to other incomes ? - probably not. But perhaps access could be purchased to some of them Also what do people mean by giving up....... for free or sold?

    Can't Seppela be arsed ?

I think the reason why JS should be there is because any deal to be done depends on her say so. Yes there are others negotiating but does anyone really think Labovitch/Brookfield/Waggot have the absolute authority to agree a deal ? Given past reported experiences I would have thought signed...

Warring parties secret talks in last-ditch attempt to keep Sky Blues in Coventry

a few thoughts about the article - so the Council were briefed on Monday about a secret meeting well you might expect that wouldnt you..... doesnt mean it has to be widely reported? - Apparently there was supposed to be a complete news blackout until the next CVA meeting - that worked then...

If a last minute Ricoh deal was done?

I would guess that the majority of last years average crowd would go if the team played at the Ricoh. They could even discount last years ST price and still be better off at the Ricoh than the deal they have at Sixfields. That in its self knocks a big hole in the financial arguments used by TF...

If a last minute Ricoh deal was done?

i agree rob....... posted on another thread that the true cost of the travel was much much more. Take that into account and 207 at Sixfields is way more than a season ticket at the Ricoh at last years prices http://www.skybluestalk.co.uk/threads/34037-season-tickets-now-on-sale?p=495344#post495344

Why can't the accounts be submitted??

BDO - it is not their responsibility to file the accounts. That responsibility is with the Directors of the company concerned. They will not be able to sign off accounts of the Group companies until there is resolution of the CCFC Ltd situation because the companies in the group are so...

    Whos going to Northampton

Everyone is entitled to make their own personal choice and that should be without fear of abuse etc go to Northampton ?- No not me
  16. oldskyblue58

If a last minute Ricoh deal was done?

but it is academic isnt it because it would never be that price. It is only 207 at Sixfields because the club are trying to mitigate the costs of travel. At the Ricoh it would be at least £100 more (Dan Walker said that was the discount the club worked for the £207)

Coventry city council to refuse cva - city going to face liquidation

as mystic meg sorry TSB got this so damn right perhaps this thread should be closed Nick as the title is extremely misleading and does no one any good

    Question RE: Liquidation

just a couple of thoughts As ACL is 50% owned by the council how does that mean rejection of the CVA loses the council taxpayer £590k? If ACL were to try and get their own investigation done of the events at CCFC then how much might that cost in accountants, legal and barrister fees? If they...

    CVA meeting today

I think you will find the FL Board use their "discretion" again. Sadly I believe CCFC will be playing at Sixfields for at least the start of the season
  20. oldskyblue58

    CVA meeting today

What does he mean held up ? If he means ACL are asking questions and requiring information they have not been given but are legally entitled to then is that being held up? I know that delays are not what CCFC want to do but there is a lot at stake. You would assume that PA and TF & Co are...
