Match Thread Coventry v Scunthorpe Match Thread - Saturday 12th Nov

I've persuaded a non CCFC, premier league team supporting glory supporter to attend tomorrow. I've always had a ST so never needed to buy one off league tickets for individuals before - any advice on the best way to do it? I'd prefer not to have to leave my ale early so he can queue for pay...

Match Thread Coventry v Chesterfld Match Thread - Tuesday 1st Nov

Awful first half which can be attributed to the change in formation/tactics and players. There was absolutely zero movement from the attacking players to the point I genuinely felt sorry for Bigi/Stevenson who had limited options each time they received it. Really disappointed with Agyei, his...

62 minutes and we are no closer to breaking them down. Zero movement from strikers or wingers: desperate stuff. Time for MV to prove his worth.

Reid/Jones - awful, and a defensive liability. Agyei - touch like a poor mans Heskey. Tudgay - offers nothing. Formation - not enough movement or fluidity. Not sure why he changed it. Ruben is frustrating but at least he can pick a pass, couple that with Sordell and it may improve.

Our forwards are playing hide and seek with the rest of the team and wining comfortably. Also, if this was my first time watching them I would think Jones and Reid are awful awful footballers.

Slightly random selection, assuming it's a case of fresh legs? Guessing it's 4-2-3-1; Tudgay 10, Reid/Jones on the wings? He must think they have slow full backs? I hope Bigi and Stevenson run the game.

Freezing and I forgot my hat. People say nurses have it tough. Team news?

2 - 0, Ruben and Sordell. Dominating performance and deserved win so we can all head home feeling optimistic again.

You should be careful though, I think a lot of posters only come for the negatives!

Fair play and it's great to see. If you had to guess some of the players you would expect to be there, Bigi and Willis would be top of the list - they have a genuine affinity with the club. Only negative/cynicism - I'm sure if it was Wasps there would be ten times the coverage.

Disappointed I'm missing it, but very pleased when I checked the score. I'll have another ale to celebrate. To be fair the Isle of Wight is full of good pubs.

2-0. Stevenson and Bigi to run the show. Sordell and Turnbull to score. I'm away this weekend so missing the game (I'm not actively boycotting). I'll be reliant on updates from here - as long as I can still read by that point.

Feels fantastic leaving the ground with a win, especially as it's deserved. Get in.

We deserve to be in front. Bar the ridiculous Burge flap where they hit the bar, we have dominated and looked the most threatening team. Stevenson is running the game, well supported by McCann and Bigi. Aygei is being a handful and Sordell is looking lively. I like Ruben, but he's the weak link...

Beauty. He deserves it too - running the show.

Minus Burge, the ability is definitely not there with him.

I know this sounds obvious but when we play football we look really really good. When the team panic, crowd get on their back and shout 'get it forward' and we hoof it aimlessly, we look worthy of relegation. The ability is there.
