How can they find three (four if you count Fortune) big physical centre forwards, yet we couldn't find one?

Nibble nibble. Waiting for that weren't you.

Another big physical team. We have no answer, especially when the pitch is impossible to play football on.

It has been, but Haynes and DKE are more naturally suited to playing wing back then Willis, Page or even Stokes. Didn't Haynes come to fruition with Pressley playing wing back? Your issue is you dislike Haynes and DKE, regardless. Slades downfall was a lot more than trying to adapt TM's...

Yep, sounds like 3-5-2. To be pair that's our strongest midfield, and Haynes/DKE are attacking defenders so on paper it works. However, not convinced on Tudgay/Beavon as a two but I assume the theory is Beavon as the runner and Tudgay as the hold up man. Also, no more Burge please!!

Complete transformation from previous performances. The team seem more confident and are actually trying to play football. They are succeeding to an extent too. K Thomas is the weak link at the minute, but in all fairness I'm pretty sure he isn't a left winger. Encouraging signs, just a shame...

Turnbull is playing well - their number 9 is trying his best to bully him but he's coping well.

I hate to say it; but Stokes is being exposed.

The players are actually trying to pass to one another and find feet. What is happening?!

Fantastic news that Stokes is back. Coincidental he's suddenly fit when we get a new manager? Disappointed Bigi isn't playing.

Looking forward to seeing the team Robins selects; it will potentially give us some insight into his thoughts for next season. I think we will see more "footballers" in the team today i.e. Bigi, Stevenson, potentially Ruben, and hopefully a complete break away from Slades tactics. Unless we...

Slade didn't know what Bigirimana was good at

Proves what a prat Slade was, and is evidence of what I mentioned on the other thread re Slade and his man management style. I think most posters, via the obvious few, appreciate Bigi is a talented footballer and has a genuie affiliation for the club which makes him want to give 100% every...

Your first 4 names on the team sheet are? And...

As inconsistent as Lameries is, of the four chosen he's still miles ahead of Jones and Reid for me. At least he has ability.

Stokes Stevenson Bigi Beavon It was a struggle to think of four, which is depressing.

EXCLUSIVE: Coventry City chairman Tim Fisher dismisses takeover rumours and insists Mark...

Or me and the three people I go with - now you know of six! Genuine question - do the statements from the chairman, or the club in general, really have that much of an influence on people's decision to buy an ST? With minimal investment and a decent manager (I.e. worst case scenario for us...

Wasps billing CCFC for pitch repairs after Wycombe game

Pathetic, embarrassing and hopefully highlights exactly why Wasps are a negative for those of us who support the football team. Every time someone mentions Wasps it generates an immediate feeling of anger towards the Council. Reading something like this infuriates me even further. What was the...

    Lamieras "Liking" Slade going.

He's not the only player who likes this news, he's just the only one to (probably unprofessionally) 'like' it on social media. I think we can all relate to working for a manager you don't respect and who for some reason does not like you. Especially in the world of football where the managers...

Robins leads us out at Wembley.

Definitely good news, I certainly feel more optimistic about our chances than I did before. I made the point on another thread, but the idea of 20k+ Cov fans turning up to the only game we have had to celebrate for years, to see clueless hoofball tactics and players out of position would have...

So, who do we think are the Robins type players here

He liked to play football, so I imagine players like Bigi and Stevenson will see more game time. Potentially even Ruben. I wouldn't be surprised if he tried to fit Harries into the team somehow too. Players like Beavon, Stokes and, to be fair based on recent games, Reilly who put shifts in...

Exclusive - mark Robins to be named

Yep, but if the issues with SISU were that bad you would assume he still wouldn't take the role. Points to the fact he had his head turned by Huddlesfield as opposed to SISU being the biggest driver.
