Not a household name, but we've probably all used his inventions. - yep, just did! He's done a lot more for the modern world than most well-known people!

I think many programmes fall into that bracket - try to milk a successful formula within an inch of its life. Comebacks, spin-offs and Christmas specials are usually (in my view) crap. The best programme makers know when to call it a day.

Got to add Tarbuck to the list, especially as he's confirmed he has prostate cancer (and "has vowed to fight it", according to the press). I have to say i'm getting heartily sick of "celebrities" and other public figures announcing to no-one in particular that they have some disease or other...
