    West brom Vs Sunderland

Means we’re relying on an extra result but we can still be guaranteed a play-off spot with a win next Saturday IF: Millwall lose away at Blackpool Blackburn lose at home to Burnley and away at Luton (draw would mean we aren’t in mathematically but would basically be in as we +12 GD over...

And might even fancy them for 5th now with that goal!

    West brom Vs Sunderland

Sunderland might snatch 6th if they hold on for a point here. Would expect them to beat Watford on Saturday and then a decent chance of them being able to win at Preston on the last day who will most likely be out of it.

    West brom Vs Sunderland

Yeah, it’s going to be a really tough game. They’ll be right up for spoiling the party with 4.5k fans cheering them on. We’ve played them 7 times in the last 3 years and drawn 6 of them.

    West brom Vs Sunderland

If Sunderland lose this, Blackburn lose to Burnley and lose to Luton on Saturday, Preson lose or draw away at Sheffield United and Millwall lose away at Blackpool then we’d be confirmed in the play-offs with a win vs Birmingham. Quite a lot needed but not that unlikely overall. EDIT: In fact...

    West brom Vs Sunderland

I don't think we should be focused about West Brom do. We're playing for 1 out of 2 spaces so another team has to get in there as well and they're easily the favourites. As long as we do better than Blackburn, Millwall and Sunderland over the next two games (hopefully starting with a Blackburn...

HAMER: BEST MIDFIELDER IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP

He was brilliant today. Can't remember many better individual performances I've seen for us.

    FiveThirtyEight Prediction

I feel like I have zero reference point for Middlesbrough. Such a different side to the one we got our first win of the season against. Will be quite bizarre if we end up playing them three games in a row. Will be interesting to see how they approach the game vs us if we beat Birmingham and they...

    Championship 22-23

Think we'll need 4 points minimum to get in there, might even need to win both.

I'd be surprised if 4 isn't enough tbh. So many of the teams below us have to play each other/teams above them.

    Liam Kelly -humble pie time

Brilliant today. It’s a shame he’s so injury prone because when he’s fully fit he still looks good enough for this level and would have been a good player to have in the squad, especially when Allen and Sheaf have been injured.

Very good performance today. Only our own wastefulness stopped us from winning 4 or 5-1. They were always going to give it a good go at the end but we were never under too much pressure. Hamer outstanding.

Great first half performance, a lot of players having great games. Godden justifying his selection with an exceptional finish. If Gyokeres had his shooting boots on we’d be talking about this as one of his best ever 45 minutes for us. He’s been brilliant at everything aside from finishing...

I like Godden, but I just don’t think him and Gyokeres play very well as a pair. Both much better playing on their own upfront with two AMs behind imo. Obviously we can’t really do that right now, but I’d like to see a bit more of Gyokeres and Walker together to see if that works any better.

There used to be a rule where you weren’t suspended until after you’d gone through the appeal process I’m pretty sure. I feel like I remember Rio Ferdinand playing the game after getting sent off for United because they’d appealed it and were awaiting the results.

Reading have drawn 5 of their last 6 and only lost the other thanks to a 95th minute winner from Preston. Not hard to figure out what their game plan is likely to be.

We will need to play better than we did last night to win this one. Good result for Reading vs Luton last night.
