So Swansea council writing off a multi million pound loan they maded to the Liberty Stadium of which they are a part owner is not disgraceful or illegal according to you?
So it's not disgraceful for SISU to distress ACL out of business but it is disgraceful for the council to use the money they borrowed (was it the Public Works Loan Board?) to refinance ACL and in turn offer lower rent to our club?
No you didn't answer why where all parties have agreed with the loan in both cases, Swansea is different from us. Who said the £14M was to fight off SISU? Only Young Timothy has made any noises in that direction by cliaming but not producing any evidence that they were in it with the council.
Ooh I can add that to the list of People/Names I've been called on here:
I'm apparently PWKH or a Council Troll or I work in the ACL politburo in the Ministry for talking drivel, and now I'm a disgrace!
And councils can't loan to companies they're part owners of - right. Still waiting to hear the answer to the question you've never answered about council loans (both Swansea and ours) that I asked you in this thread...
If an offer to the Higgs is lower than they paid for it then I suspect they wouldn't take it as the Charity Comission would crucify them - might be wrong though.
We might see who opposes the investigation and who welcomes it - that would be interesting even before we start. Then I'd love to know what went on last week, and what was actually offered by each side. Is Leveson doing anything at the moment?
I just checked on Zoopla and if it's £10m they were talking about then that wouldn't buy anything like half the houses in my street, might buy 13-14 of them. If it was that or less than that then no wonder the council didn't feel like selling.
I think as I said before we should have a full investigation of the whole lot of them, ACL, CCFC and SISU. If that means going back to the days of Richardson then let's go back there, leave no stone unturned.
Our SISU Sky blues friend 'true sky blue' claims that all loans from councils to businesses they part own are illegal. So that sort of screws Swansea and the Liberty stadium loan from their council, especially as at least one loan was written off.
Either that or it's an attempt to stop paying the lawyers dealing with the JR. Didn't Young Timothy say it was 100k at one of the forums? ACL might drop the NTFC case in response.
I find the fact that the Higgs are still prepared to sell to them baffling, I guess they just want their money back which I can sort of sympathise with.
Well it would allow SISU to build the White Elephant stadium in or near Coventry and keeps us in Coventry until then. Maybe this is just to see if SISU are keen to keep us in Coventry or just distress ACL further by moving us Sixfields and not build anything. From what OSB58 said he thought was...
I can only guess that things must have broken down badly at the talks or she didn't believe Sixfields would actually happen which was a bit naive or the court case.
It's possible although why the sudden interest in the team now? Also why move us to Sixfields and hobble us under FFP if concerned about the team. It's their fault we have the embargo again by not filing accounts.
