    KCIC v SISU out

Being against the idea of it is one thing, but you would still go surely? You wouldn't refuse to go to watch Coventry in Coventry because you didn't think the ground was big enough, would you?

    Your Perfect New Stadium

Asymmetrical, stands as close to the pitch as possible, steep and imposing on all sides; and most important of all, in or very close to the city centre. If Carlsberg made football grounds...

    KCIC v SISU out

Forgive me, I simply don't believe people when they say that. If it was announced tomorrow that Coventry Rugby Club and CCFC were going to jointly develop BPA into a 22K capacity superbowl made of chicken tikka you would not go? Sorry, don't buy it.

In the ground? I don't know, fans turn their back on the game for first 10 minutes - that would receive some publicity and would make a good photo opportunity. Another game everyone wears black. Next game we all launch toilet rolls onto the pitch. Another a peaceful pitch invasion and at...

I don't know about people accusing you of making money from it - clearly you would react to that. However, saying that somebody is 'making it up' when they say a bus covered in Ricoh Arena branding is a Ricoh Arena sponsored bus is just silly. Generally speaking - if somebody sees corporate...

No, I suggest we go there to cause a fuss. Get the issue into the news. A few publicity stunts and creative protests. Make Fisher feel a bit more uncomfortable on matchdays rather than all the backslapping he is enjoying at the moment, his smile gets bigger every week. Keep the issue fresh...

I do agree with that. We should do more. It's difficult though, there's a lot of old fans and a lot of kids there. The sort of people who might be a bit more vocal and show some dissent are not there.

They differ by 27. Not really on the same level at the 9/11 conspiracies.

Understanding the reasons is completely different from understanding how somebody has arrived at that reasoning. Fact is, for most football fans, the idea of supporters choosing not to support their team is totally counter-intuitive. There really isn't much sympathy out there - and to those...

    Pointless 10 point deduction?

Indeed, which is why the loyalty some show to ACL is baffling. Some people would be generally horrified if the club got the ricoh on the cheap. I've never heard of people having their ashes scattered outside a Tesco, or the office of a stadium management company for that matter. Perhaps times...

    Jimmy's Hill Today

Perhaps, but it seems odd. Why would you hire a double decker bus for a 70 mile round trip? Surely it would be more cost effective to hire a coach? Unless of course it is being subsidised or offered at cost, in which it does have something to do with ACL. It could not have financed itself...

Absolutely. Quote from a Gillingham fan in the pub after I informed him the gate would be about 2000, "Seems like most fans have given up on the club'. I put him right obviously, but that's surely how many see it. Most football fans cannot get their head around a prolonged boycott.

A bus with Ricoh Arena written in large red letters down both sides turns up will hill protesters has nothing to do with ACL? If that is the case then it is one massive coincidence. The only bus in Coventry that they sponsor happens to be the only bus available to ferry these people? Mmmm...

    Jimmy's Hill Today

I did say that, but just changed my mind. The boycott is pointless and damaging, and will not speed up the return of the club to Coventry, which is what we all want. That is my opinion, but having arrived at it, there is nothing to stop me going I guess.

It has 'Ricoh Arena' written all over it, so there is a good chance.

Gills fans talking about our team

How many academy players did we have in our squad today, was it nine? Clearly, a team with that many kids should be pissing the league. Valiant said so, although I don't recall too many posts from him over the summer suggesting the coming season was going to be a promotion party.

    Jimmy's Hill Today

Well shame on you for doing nothing to stop it. There is no protest inside the ground because there is nobody there. Standing on the hill is achieving nothing. We cannot see you or hear you, you presence goes almost entirely unnoticed. What are you trying to achieve? You think standing there...

    Pointless 10 point deduction?

In which case, don't hide behind the "we're doing it for the good of club" line. It is bullshit. The suggestion that they tried to force administration because of an obvious bluff by TF about liquidation and dressed it up as concern for the club was a lie, pure and simple. I'd have a lot more...

    Jimmy's Hill Today

No, my head is held high thank you very much. My presence or otherwise has no impact whatsoever on how long the club remains in Northampton - and I would argue that those of you that protest by not going are making a massive error and are pursuing a tactic that will take a lot longer to work...
