I thought the same initially but I now think it’s under instruction as Thomas is playing narrow too.

Take the fact we’re losing out if it, and we’ve actually started really well offensively; we’re moving the ball around really well and more importantly with pace and purpose.

Absolute shite goal to concede and an awful time. They have 90 minutes to time waste and will absolutely park the bus too.

The obvious Wasps frustration aside, the pitch is detrimental to our play, we don’t (or shouldn’t) play long ball, we have technically skilled players who should be playing football. The pitch does not facilitate that.

Seems busier in the concourse than usual. Pitch looks absolutely awful. Fuck off Wasps.

Good team, other than McCallum, that’s the strongest team we have. All signs point to MR sending us out to attack, let’s hope he doesn’t put out such an attacking team and then restrict them. Really excited by that team, so much movement, pace and technical ability. The only worry is a...

I didn’t realise Brown had been completely dropped, I thought it was linked to an injury/illness. However, while it’s close, Mason is the better player. Brown looks lost on the ball and worries me defensively. Plus Mason is younger and I imagine on a lower wage, so if there’s not much between...

I still stand by my team selection and proposed strategy, but I’m actually feeling more optimistic today (no idea why), so I’m changing my prediction to 3-0, with Willis to score the third. And no, I haven’t started drinking yet, I’m just hopeful MR remembers last year when we needed results...

11 wins from 19 remaining games to make playoffs

Completely agree re the significant changes we’ll likely see between the end of this season and the start of next. We pretty much know for certain Sterling won’t be back, and it’s unlikely Thomas will be, so that’s two of our better players gone and a new right side required. Plus, if Bayliss...

    Incoming ! - Bright Enobakhare

Thomas has no real end product, yet he’s been our best outlet and most effective attacking players. If Bright is the same on the other side, then I’m more than happy with that, considering we’re a L1 team and pace causes teams real issues. Those two could cause mayhem for defenders, be it...

I’m not sure we need another poacher/pacey/technical striker, it’s another target man or link player we need, so more the Leon Clarke type than the Hepburn-Murphy. If Evans is a creative midfielder who can play on the wing or in the middle, then I’d say with him Bright and Thomas (plus...

Kelly for Doyle, Bright for Shipley. The latter may seem rash or harsh on Shipley, but if he’s an attacking winger he needs to start; we’re at home, we need a win to stay around the play offs and, most importantly, we look so much better when we actually attack. I’ll be frustrated if he drops...

    Transfer rumours

Do we know if that’s a credible source? Based on the article he’s a striker, so today’s signing may indicate this won’t happen, unless Bright has been bought in as a winger. Another striker wouldn’t be a bad thing, especially as JCH as the ony striking replacement limits what MR can do to...

    Incoming ! - Bright Enobakhare

If he plays (or at least can/has experience of) on the wing, surely it’s a good signing. We’ve all been crying out for a second pacey winger. Him and Thomas on the wings, Bayliss creating through the middle and Hiwulas movement up front - sounds good to me. Add an in form and confident Chaplin...

Same team, attacking performance, 2-0 City, Hiwula and Thomas. Or, Addai and Thompson start out of nowhere due to Willis, Burge and Davies having medicals at Bristol, Bolton and Burton.

Lighten up it was tongue in cheek. Although saying that, how can you be so sure?

    Chaplin Move Completed

Chaplin has been disappointing this season, but as has been said numerous times on this forum, I believe it’s due to his positioning. The key question is whether that’s under instruction or his lack of positional awareness. Biamou jokes aside, the strike partner is also key. Playing with JCH is...

    Chaplin Move Completed

Can’t wait to see your reaction when we start next season with Biamou and Chaplin up front.
  19. Great_Expectations

    Burge, Willis and Davies

Surprised at all three in a way, but especially Burge. He’s been supported by the club for a good few years and he is finally repaying that. I wonder if him not starting the season in goal has anything to do with that (I’m not starting a conspiracy theory I genuinely can’t remember)? I think...
