An awful attempt, but once i got started I couldnt stop. As you can tell I'm not very good at this sort of thing! Don't Stop Believin' - Journey Just an orange man Living off the sky blue fan He took the midnight plane to Portugal Just a city kid Took a while but he made a bid He wants the...

Coventry City statement on Gary Hoffman takeover offer

I wonder why they've put the takeover story back as the main headline on the official? http://www.ccfc.co.uk/page/Home

    The stadium

Why is it so important to own the freehold? As long as we own the stadium, that's where the money is to be made. I'm pretty sure wolves don't own the freehold on theirs but still own the stadium.

    Hoffmans Principle Investor

Oh god anyone but Robinson. Colonel Gaddafi hasn't been seen for a few days has he? Certainly rather him in than Geoffrey again.

    If the bid is Successful

I was actually thinking the end of the January transfer window!. In my opinion theres not a chance in hell of it happening before the end of this window!

    If the bid is Successful

It seems to be reported that if the bid is successful then AT would be given around £10m to spend on players. I just hope that what we would buy turns out to be decent because I fear this really would be our last chance to do anything as a club. Because of this I'm not sure how I would feel if...

    Operation Premiership??

I'm not saying that your wrong, but could you explain why it would be illegal? I understand that ACL themselves are still paying off the construction costs of the Ricoh & therefore most of its income goes on that, but as ACL is a ltd company how is it any different to any other business? If I...

Coventry City statement on Gary Hoffman takeover offer

Sisu will want to make it sound like they are protecting the clubs future by ensuring Hoffman has enough money behind him to invest in the club. The truth is Hoffman will have offered to pay off some of the Sisu debt & Sisu will want to make sure the people are real and will be able to pay...

    The timing of this deal...

I think it's just bad luck. It's probably taken Hoffman a long time to get this group together because investors would want a while to think it over before commiting to something like buying a football club.

Do You Expect The Bid To Succeed?

I think Hoffman will takeover, but I don't think yet. I can't see Sisu accepting the first offer & I expect this to go on for a while.

Coventry city receive formal bid from Gary Hoffman.

The first offer will be rejected, Sisu will try & squeeze every penny out of him. I think hoff was wrong to say there maybe some negotiating if this refused, I would have just said here's the offer, take it or leave it.

Admin is a better option than SISU

How does the fact that Southampton is nearer the sea make it more attractive as a business? Coventry has far better transport links than Southampton which is surely a more important asset to a business.

    No Hoffman Bid

Not that I'm claiming to know anything here, but through my line of work I know that there was a big balls up at the South Midlands sorting office overnight which resulted in a lot of post going to the wrong delivery offices.

    No new players then.....

Agree 100%. The first sign of trouble as I recall was Northern Rock going tits up. That happened in September 2007, 3 months before Sisu bought Cov. If they were the great, repsonsible businessmen & owners that some on here would have you believe why didn't they see the recession coming? Now I...

    Answer to the banners.

I'm pretty sure outside of the ground the stewards have no legal authority. CCFC don't rent the arena complex, just the playing area.

CCFC - Once an innovative club

We are again, I don't think any other club has asked the fans to buy players for them, who we all know would be sold at the first decent offer with the money going back to sisu. Very innovative!

    The arena

I'm sure I've heard the council owns a golden share, i.e someone cant buy the ground to change its purpose.
