Match Thread Coventry City vs. Fleetwood Town Match Thread - Wednesday 23rd Oct

Why are we so keen to work it wide and then cross the ball - we win nothing in the air or in the box full stop. It’s infuriating. Our midfield and attacking six are all absolutely anonymous bar O’Hare. I don’t particularly like narrow formations but we need to go 2 up front as our presence is...

I like Walsh but he’s being bullied big time. Westbrooke is anonymous, so I’d put Kelly on for Westbrooke and put Walsh further forward. I’d give Biamou 45 minutes too, at least he can link play and win headers, and as we seem to be desperate to play it wide and cross the ball, it makes sense...

To be fair, this is a top trolling attempt. At least I hope it is, and not just stupidity.

Same as MK and numerous games this season; we end up working the ball out wide, which is absolutely pointless as we win nothing in the box. Especially with Bakayoko.

Madden was offside when Evans shot, Madden subsequently scored.

I know this might upset you, but the screen shot above proves he was offside.

We look vulnerable and unconvincing don’t get me wrong, but we really don’t get much luck with officials.

Anyone got a screen shot of the goal - looked way off?

He did get caught then, but he isn’t awful. He isn’t a lone CDM though.

Have to say the bench is awful; who can change the game? Kelly isn’t that sort of player, Kast and Biamou aren’t fit and the rest are defensive. Why not give the on form youngsters a chance?! If he needed to change the game significantly he could change to a 4-4-2 (not my favourite formation)...

Feeling optimistic (ish). Our style of play IS effective until the final chance, but at some point that will come good - it did last season. Plus, we have to be realistic, for all his strengths MR is a creature of routine and will not change his formation unless forced. I’d bring Kelly back as...

Dominant first half without looking threatening. Lots of possession around their box but final decision or ball is poor. Hiwula having lots of the ball but not in the right places, while Bakayoko is trying but has zero confidence; that header was an absolute sitter. Confident we’ll score...

I hope we lose so we can up the hysteria and negativity to 100%. Can’t wait for our tour of L2 next season.

Goodness me, dragging up a post from two days ago. I recognise the plea for attention, so here you go; I’ve seen your reply AND I’ve responded.

Match Thread Coventry City vs. Tranmere Rovers Match Thread - Sunday 13th Oct

I’d look at it another way; we’ve had the same issue with strikers letting us down all season yet we’re still well within reach of the autos. If/when our attacking players start converting chances or MR goes to market to rectify in January, imagine where we’ll be. We are nowhere near a mid...

Too many over reactions. I’m incredibly pissed off, and hope MR absolutely makes it clear to the players that isn’t an acceptable result, but it doesn’t mean it’s the start of a bad run, or we’re suddenly a mid table team or whatever other hysteria will be posted on here. We play football well...

Before people start getting over excited about the lower attendance; it’s a Sunday morning so people will have matches themselves or their children will, transport isn’t as good, it’s the Birmingham half marathon and it’s on Sky. Even at the Ricoh, attendance would have suffered.

Surprised at McCallum over Mason, as while McCallum has certainly improved and is a good player, Mason has been one of the players of the season so far. Midfield three are technically very good, and with O’Hare offering a different sort of run to Jobello/Kast our passing game (if on song) could...

So many reasons to be positive this season. Playing our home fames in Birmingham obviously isn’t ideal, but it is what it is. It’s as big or as small an issue as people want to make it. Things on the playing side are good, and ground aside, things off field are improving too. I’m sure others...
