Isn't this the place for rumours?

Breaking News - Clouting Leaving Club

Doesn't bode well for getting in loan players.

Breaking News - Clouting Leaving Club

Perhaps the rumour of ken getting rid of thorn was true. Maybe clouting doesn't agree?

CCFC ATTENDANCE - Myth and Reality

But thats because they were top of the league. If we went down & had a season like they did our crowds would shoot up.

CCFC ATTENDANCE - Myth and Reality

Because this thread is suggesting that we city fans are more fickle than our midland rivals. I'm pointing out that when/if those teams suffer like ccfc then their crowds would match ours.

    The Grim Reaper Cometh!!!

CCFC will survive, although I think administration is coming soon after relegation.

CCFC ATTENDANCE - Myth and Reality

Blues didnt. When they were in our position in the early '90s they got less than half of what they get now.

How will we deal with relegation?

They've had one gate over 20k when tickets were £5. Rest have been between 14k - 16k

CCFC ATTENDANCE - Myth and Reality

Comparing the size of cities though always throws up inconsistancies. Using the logic of big cities get big crowds then Leeds must be the worst supported club in the country. All those saying we should have more fans can you say why? Why should a team with 40 years of struggle get good...

CCFC ATTENDANCE - Myth and Reality

The best example of this was the second half of the first Ricoh year. From xmas to may the average was about 23-24k. Before anyone says it was because of interest in a new ground, that had long gone by xmas as the crowds were starting to drop until the team turned around.

CCFC ATTENDANCE - Myth and Reality

Also though in 87/88 Arsenal were only averaging 29k, its how it was back then, football crowds were low. Villa only had 18k in 87 (admittedly they did go down that year). Forest 19k, Derby 17k, crowds were just low then. We won the cup at the worst possible time.

CCFC ATTENDANCE - Myth and Reality

The problem with this is that the OP is looking at a specific point in time. The last 20 years have probably been the most depressing in the clubs history, and the facts here have been manipulated to emphasise a certain point. If you look back over the last 60-70 years the clubs support looks...

    Forest game

Forest will have their new manager by the time we play them. I did think of this as a winnable game but think I can forget that now. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15185590.stm

    Financial Fair play rules

I agree it makes sense when they say about leaving the experts in charge, but then they should have done exactly that and players should have only been sold with Ransons/Colemans permission. I think the credit crunch must be why their plan changed, but this still shows them as crap business...

    Financial Fair play rules

I don't see how Sisu cannot see that it will not work with a football club. A football clubs value is based on it's league position, so just by cutting costs sisu will never get their money back (boo hoo). One of the basic principles of a capitalist society is that you have to speculate to...

    Financial Fair play rules

Perhaps Clouting could explain why were not taking this approach? http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/9285137.Quinn_steps_down_as_Sunderland_chairman/ New Sunderland chairman: Short added: "I can assure our fans that it's the same group of people continuing to lead the club. "With...

Article: SISU Have To Go Before It's Too Late

I cannot understand why people think that there is no point in protesting. I personally would rather Administration than Sisu (As I think the outcome is going to be the same anyway), but I can understand why some supporters don't want to even consider administration. However, the threat of...

    Bring back Eastwood

I'd be quite happy not to see him play again for us. His 4 goals won't make that much difference for us this season anyway. I would rather watch Juke/Platt/O'Donovan/McDonald who may not score many but at least put some effort in. Nothing will make the fans turn on players quicker than having...

    Current form

I used to get annoyed in the prem years when people would say we didnt deserve to stay up. My argument was always that the table never lies, we are where we deserve to be.

    We are going down!!!!!

Wasn't that the season before? Where we were awesome at HR but couldn't buy an away win? I remember if we had won a few away we would have being pushing for Europe.
