    Sisu you are a disgrace...

We've had a number of threads on this subject. The posters who (choosing my words carefully) are more supportive of SISU, tend to come from the point of view that the club has to be run within its financial means and therefore they are doing a realistic/good job. My background is as an...

Bristol vs Watford; Donny vs Millwall; Leeds vs Forest; Pompey vs Brum

Even if that were so, it'd be better than SISU who don't appear to give a toss about CCFC whichever division they're in :D

Bristol vs Watford; Donny vs Millwall; Leeds vs Forest; Pompey vs Brum

To be fair, that does mean that there's a regular stream of communication. :D

So if that's the plan, why increase the uncertainty around the club by not confirming that they're going to support it over the next 12 months?

I think we're all saying pretty much the same thing. However, WSCP I'm not sure that the £30m+ can be protected. All that it is now, is an interesting historical fact. I don't know how SISU do their book-keeping, but I would be amazed if there isn't a very hefty provision in their books...

I accept that. However many businesses need funding from parent entities and/or the renewal of bank facilities, but seem to manage to achieve this without failing to file their accounts etc. When a business is in the financial position of CCFC (and particularly when it's a high profile...

It's true that a budget approval process is a fairly standard part of corporate life. What are not standard parts of corporate life are : 1) Public comments that the funding of a company is not guaranteed beyond a point in the near future and 2) Inability to file accounts within the...

    'Staying Up' by R.A. Gekoski

Almost true...... The story was always in the book. This upset Dion who complained to the club who consequently stopped selling the book in the club shop. Once Dion was on his way to Villa, it magically reappeared on the shelves.

Why I think League 1 is a must for us...

If he says the sun will rise tomorrow morning, I don't think that makes him the Oracle - it's just seeing something that's happened regularly in the past and extrapolating it into the future. Some might argue that CCFC selling players is a better bet than the sun rising tomorrow..........

    Coventry City financial director quits

I suppose at least "long commute" makes a change from the old favourites of "to spend more time with his family" and "to explore other business opportunities".

    Coventry City financial director quits

Yes really. Without financing in place the auditors won't sign off the accounts on a going concern basis. Consequently they'll have to be redrafted on a realiseable value basis.

    Takeover Update?

We have their explanation - funding has not been guaranteed for the next year so the accounts can't be signed off (on a going concern basis). I guess it's a matter of opinion whether or not you consider this reasonable. Personally I think it's just another example of the poor management and...

CWR Ian - Is he real 2

Or to switch off through boredom at hearing the same regurgitated cr@p again......

CWR Ian - Is he real 2

Not a great game, but we won and our keeper didn't have a save to make. Feeling good about the result, tune in to CWR for the drive home. Then that plank comes on. Time to turn over to listen to the rugby.

MMM - I have to admire your continued attempts to use logic in this debate. I can only assume that it's done more in hope than expectation........ :p

I was right behind the goal - it looked like it was heading for the top corner, but swerved a little more at the last second....

    Soc meeting

I imagine it's a good few more than just those on the SOC coaches. I wouldn't normally go to Reading away, but 2 of us will be heading there from Shropshire and meeting up with 3 of the family from London at the game.

I'd guess that as we've heard nothing official, they're probably still talking.
