If SISU do sue the Guardian and their action fails, are they liable for damages automatically or would the Guardian have to sue for damage to their reputation?

The reason you would have to sue as I understand it is because if you don't you weaken your chances of being successful in court the next time it is repeated. So for example if person A makes an allegation about you and it isn't challenged but person B makes the same allegation a year later and...

    Our Club

They would have to put it out on general sale as I think has been mentioned before, they couldn't just offer it to someone else. If they did that and SISU were the highest bidder then they'd get the Ricoh. If Seppala put in a low ball offer and they weren't the winners, then yes they'd be...

Yes if you repeat publication of the piece then you're liable, the grey area for me is the link. They've successfully shut down websites linking to copyright material in the past, they weren't hosting it just providing a link to material that was infringing. I would assume either DCMA or...

CCFC comments on rent - cov city mad.

From the Trust Q&A they tried under Robinson and got nowhere I suspect because the ACL finances weren't good enough to allow it. They never had anything amounting to a serious discussion under SISU when finances were I suspect better before starting the rent strike.

As I understand it (and I am not a lawyer) if the trust repeated the piece on their website and it was found to be defamatory then yes they would be liable for repeating the defamation. However as they only provided a link and as the piece, and as far as I can see is factual with nothing we...

The McGinnity one could have had legs but it was fairly idiotic to pursue it in the way that they did. Yes calling someone dishonest isn't a smart move but the response was using a sledgehammer to crack a nut (and I'm not suggesting that Nev was or is a nut). I can't wait to see the response...

CCFC comments on rent - cov city mad.

The rent was too high not sure anyone is disputing that. but the fact that they didn't try and negotiate it is idiotic.

Trinity Mirror and CT also told to Shut Up

If (and we don't have proof yet) it turns out that there has been legals against the press then it's hardly surprising very little that's negative or critical has been written. Just asking difficult questions could have nasty repercussions, and I don't mean not giving any more interviews.
