City Quash rumors over ten point deduction

Smiles are few and far between for a City fan these days, but below the article on the Telegraph website the first Google Ad is "Bankruptcy, do I qualify?" Someone has a sense of humour!

    Craine Set To Leave

True. This time last year I was looking forward to a centre back pairing of Turner (left footed, powerful in the air) and Cranie (right footed, reads the game well). You'd think I would have learned!

    Craine Set To Leave

No suprise that the exodus has started, but we "won't miss Cranie"? Presumably in the same way we didn't miss Westwood, Turner, Juke or King.......

    Fisher in Telegraph Today

SISU currently have a contract with ACL to rent the stadium - I believe this runs for circa 40 years. SISU are (understandably) unhappy with the terms of this contract and would like to change it. SISU would like the rent to be reduced, but don't seem to be offering anything in return (as...

Are these Chinese investors coming? Or is it just a rumour?

I thought that was now a condition of being a Board member!

    Fisher in Telegraph Today

No surprise at all. It isn't just Keogh that they will try to sell - all players over a given wage (my guess would be about £3k per week) will be off (if they can find buyers). If we're lucky, we'll fill the gaps with a few Bosmans (as long as they don't want a signing on fee!).

    Takeover may be quite close.....

I know what you mean, but look at the reality of our situation: Relegated to the third division Transfer embargo (again!) Board and owner having talks about (hopefully) agreeing some sort of budget for next season Even if all the takeover talk is nonsense, at least it gives us a chance to...

    Takeover may be quite close.....

If we excluded all the posts that are either rumour or opinion, there'd only be about 3 posts a week!

    club statement on offal

Jan, in OSB's absence I'll do my best. The club/company obviously owes a great deal of money to SISU (i.e. the famous loans). For the auditors to sign off the accounts on a "going concern basis", they will have to have assurances from SISU that these loans will not be called in within (if I...

    All-time most hated player

Relegation game with Charlton back in the prem. First half Mills stamps on Aloisi when the ball has gone out of play. Second half Aloisi trying to get the ball off Mills for a throw in. Aloisi touches Mills who goes down holding his face and rolling around like a big girl. Aloisi sent off...

Takeover ? This is for real this time

I'm one of the few on this site who has no inside information :( Experience suggests that there's more chance that it won't happen, than it will - but in the meantime, isn't it nice to just have a little bit of hope for a change :D

    All time fave player!

How could it be anyone other than Hutch?

    Pre contract medicals....

The Guardian has a column each Saturday written by a (unnamed) Premiership footballer. In one of the columns he talked about transfer medicals - particularly those on transfer deadline days. It seems that in some cases these amounted to not much more than counting the player's...

Tim Fisher spells the end of CCFC....

Generally I'd agree. I was in the corporate section on Legends Day (took my Dad for a birthday prezzie) and heard his speech and to be honest, I didn't take it in the way that some others did. I took him to be referring to Cov fans in general - but again, it was something that some people...

Tim Fisher spells the end of CCFC....

I think that's fair. In the 90's I was a member of the Premier Club at Highfield Road and saw Elliot do a lot of (I presume) unpaid work, meeting and greeting guests before games etc. At that stage he was very much on the periphery of the club's management structure - if I remember correctly...

    so, wheres hoffman now??

Now I've never met GH and can claim no knowledge of his support but, a serious question..... if it was shown to you that he's been a regular fan for (let's say) 20 years, would it change your mind at all or would you just move on to a different angle to "question his motives"?

Tim Fisher spells the end of CCFC....

Sadly anyone who's been with the club over the last decade has been associated with failiure.

Tim Fisher spells the end of CCFC....

You just have to love the attitude of some of our fans - Let's look at the possibilities for Elliot re the forum and guess the responses: 1. Elliot doesn't attend - "Supposed to be the bloody saviour of the club and can't even be bothered to turn up to a forum" 2. Elliot attends but says...

One Step Forward 3 back TYPICAL!

He did offer that option, but I took the view that a "potential cancellation" would have less impact than a non-renewal. Don't get me wrong, I know that neither will have much impact (if any), but it's just trying to "do something".
