    Thoughts on SISU

Who would pay for that modest investment? - well, as I recall, we have frequently been told that SISU have "been funding" the club over the last 12 months. Indeed a number of posters (I'm guessing, perhaps you among them?) have on occassion criticised "SISU out" posters, with a "you may not like...

And now for the classified football results...

I suppose we ought to have a reply along the lines of - it's not OUR ground, we're only tenants (who may or may not pay the rent)

So Keys/Hoff .... Time to be honest...

If we go into administration, any penalty will be carried over to next season. The rules were changed a few years ago to stop relegated clubs going into admin and so effectively avoiding the penalty.

    Thoughts on SISU

And as a non-soldier I would never presume to advise you on military strategy. You really have to try to open your mind just a little. Investment is not "plugging the gap". Relegation is going to cost us £4m. Actually, as we are not likely to bounce back next year, it is going to cost us a...

    Clive Platt

I think that Platt can still do a job in the role AB bought him for - i.e. sub to bring on for the last 15-20 minutes if we're chasing the game. The problem this year is that once SISU had finished their "prudent housekeeping", he was left as our frontline striker.

    Thoughts on SISU

Sorry but I have to disagree. I have a financial background (Chartered Accountant, FD for 20+ years, bought and sold companies with PE backing) so I have every sympathy for the need to run a business in a sensible prudent way. However, this is not the same thing as "cut costs and hang the...

    Thoughts on SISU

Tommy - in another post they were excellent businessmen. Excellent businessmen (even OK ones) raise money for investment when it's required, i.e. to avoid a £4m loss in revenue. I think just about everyone agrees that cuts needed to be made. You seem to think SISU made these cuts in a...

    Excellent post. Needs a bump.

    hope you are all happy

Before the Saints game I was standing by JH's statue - hurt like hell being outside the ground while we were playing. I don't blame AT though. I completely agree that he's made mistakes, but he had all the ground cut from under him. Responsibility lies fairly and squarely with the inept...

The reality will really kick in in League One

And so the SISU spiral of decline will continue. Might we stabilise in League One? (at least it looks like I'll get a local fixture next year - it's only 10 miles to Shrewsbury :D) Just at the moment, I'm hoping we'll have sufficient players left to find 4 clubs worse than us next year.

    Cody mac

Cody and Juke would have been an excellent partnership in time.

    SISU disgrace

You argument seems to be that because they did "something", that was good. My argument is they needed to act in a financially sensible way that was supported by an overall strategy, not to just slash costs and then hope that everything turned out OK.

    Bare bones!

You've got to ask yourself, who's our fitness specialist. Oh yeah, he went in one of SISU's "financially prudent" cuts............

With the Thorn comment 'We've picked up quite a few injuries'

About as sensible and constructive a comment as - "if everyone agrees to never speak ill of SISU again will you promise to let it go?"

With the Thorn comment 'We've picked up quite a few injuries'

What was the phrase that comment brought to mind? Ah yes - "Physician heal thyself"

Starting League One, on -10 points

What bargaining position? If they've got a signed contract that's that. Any negotiations would run as follows; SISU - We'd like to pay less rent ACL - No SISU - Oh And before someone says, "they should walk away from the Ricoh and play elsewhere" - if they did that the contract would...

Advice from a supporter who has been watching CCFC for 60 years now,,

As you say, it's all about differences of opinion. I'm of a similar vintage to you - started just after JH left (sadly), but I'm afraid I see things differently. I don't think that SISU have "been wise enough to get a grip financially" - I think they had an initial business plan with RR, it...
