I know that your tongue is in your cheek - but it's a very smart move. It's been expected that they'll be going for a float in the next year or two and whatever your personal views, Hoffman will give them serious credibility in the City.

Are you honestly saying that you can't see any difference in effect on a player's (or a team's) confidence between being booed by the opposition supporters and being booed by their own supporters?

Football is very much a confidence game. I can just about understand people booing "in the heat of the moment", but surely everyone can see that the effect of booing will be to reduce confidence and thus to reduce performance.

I think it would be safe to say that views are well understood by those who read this forum - however, I do think that on occassions you can overstate your case. When Thorn took over we were in freefall. From 4th in December we were heading rapidly down the table and I was expecting...

One of the joys of life is how we all see things differently - I thought that the football under AB was kick and rush at its worst. Having said that, I think we'd all settle for a few wins from the new manager irrespective of how they come about!!
