    Ricoh Arena Has New Tennants!!

They were prepared to offer it to us for whatever the actual cut price offer was given our potential gates if we came back. It might mean that they can offer it to sides with fewer supporters for next to nothing e.g. within their budget. Might be a bonus if you've booked a pitch view room as...

    The Ricoh is available instead

Don't remind me. I was all set to go to the Norwich match on the 18th December at the Ricoh a few years ago and watched in horror as it began to snow so much that the place I was staying at with a mate got cut off by road. Couldn't see to drive safely anyway so we're not going to make it, took...

Any source for that figure? I was there and we were told that all the stewards, referees and players were giving their time for nothing

Sisu lack of ambition & investment

Could we please lay off RFC, he is entitled to his opinion even if you think his opinion is odd or otherwise. This could be considered as a personal attack and against the rules of the site. Thank you for your understanding.

This was the post, oh and if you do want to insult me please try and think up something new, you've sort of done the You're a council employee to death.

    Lester playing at the Ricoh

I don't know as I've never run a stadium or a football team for that matter. I was just offering a guess based on my limited understanding of what is involved - I may well be wrong. I'll have to have a look for the other thread for you.

    Lester playing at the Ricoh

Unlikely I'd have thought as if it is played on a park pitch they've probably not got a massive attendance of supporters. So therefore they won't have as high costs e.g. the need a full complement of stewards. Oh and you never gave me your opinion on the shop analogy of Mr Labovitch I thought I...

    Lester playing at the Ricoh

Yes but they've been related to the club/city haven't they? I thought this was the first non Coventry related user.

    Lester playing at the Ricoh

I have been saying for ages that ACL would start to look for other tenants/users for the pitch if given long enough without us. Just why did it have to be Leicester as the first non Coventry team!

Freehold of The Arena AND all its surrounds?!?

I agree and I thought that was always the plan that Sisu had when they acquired us - buy the Higgs share and then buy the council out too. That always seemed to me to be the best thing as it meant we could be a team and club that wasn't reliant on the bank overdraft or loans from directors and...

You are SISU what would you do?

Well if it was me I'd have two choices option one: go back to the Higgs and ask if they were still willing to sell their share. I'd offer them the money owed from last time and for anything this time. I'd ask the council what it would take to get them to sanction the sale and do that. I'd then...

    Another bid rejected

I agree and the more we can squeeze out of a potential buyer can only be a good thing in terms of FFP.

    cant get over 10pt deduction

Sorry I wasn't trying to imply that Mr Appleton wasn't doing his job correctly, I'm no expert on insolvency law so it wouldn't be my place to comment. I was just trying to point out that Sisu wanted their own administrator just as much as ACL wanted theirs. No idea if anyone would bid serious...

    cant get over 10pt deduction

What I think is that if Sisu had bothered to negotiate instead of just going on the rent boycott we might not be in this mess. Yes the rent was too high and needed to be re-assessed but doing what they did when and in the manner Sisu did it was wrong. Most things can (for me at any rate) be...

    cant get over 10pt deduction

What you posted was this That isn't correct though - the Higgs Charity didn't accept the CVA, they couldn't reject it either as they weren't a creditor. The Higgs Centre on the other hand did accept it and did so because of their charitable status making it difficult to reject. Or have I got...

A close second for me but I grant you it's a very close run thing. :D

You really should check your facts before posting. The Centre and the Charity are two different legal entities, as I understand it. At the creditors meeting the Centre were the ones that accepted thanks to their charitable status making not doing so difficult, ACL were the ones who rejected.

    cant get over 10pt deduction

No the Higgs Centre accepted the CVA, the charity are only shareholders in ACL and couldn't reject or accept it.
