Higgs started the legal action against Sisu after they allegedly never paid for the Higgs costs when Sisu walked away (a long time ago) from the negotiations about the sale of the charity share. Sisu felt left out of the Legals and as they hadn't threatened anyone with lawyers/court proceedings...

What I don't understand is why when Sisu walked away from the Higgs it automatically follows that the Higgs are part of the dastardly plan cooked up by the council months later. On the one hand we're told that the council and ACL are clueless about pretty much everything and the Ricoh should be...

SISU had the chance from day 1 to purchase the Charity share at the option price and chose not to take it. By starting the rent boycott they stopped the ability to use the option price and walked away from the Higgs once they finally got talking :facepalm:

Well the best person to ask would be PWKH but I suspect with yet another court case hanging around he won't be posting. He did say that they'd agreed heads of terms with sisu and that isn't binding as I understand it, but the Higgs were willing to sell to these 'people'.

Something like that, I think Sisu are saying that the Higgs Charity were in it with the council and their dastardly plan to buy the loan. I'm just not sure how that fits in with the timeline posted by OSB58.

PWKH is as I understand it (and I got something wrong on the Higgs Centre) only the clerk to the trustees of the Higgs and the trustees are the ones who do the decisions. The council were the ones who were allegedly doing the deal with Sisu and ACL may not have been involved in those...

Probably another nail in the coffin of our club playing in Coventry again (unless we groundshare with Sphinx). I said a while ago that SISU hadn't touched the Higgs with their legal threats yet and it was probably only a matter of time :(

Nothing really to an entity like Sisu who obviously have cash to burn in the courts, and Northampton. Can't understand why you would risk a county court judgement against your firm because you didn't pay up such a relatively small* amount? *more than my yearly salary :o

Didn't Stuart ask Tim if he was prepared to accept a mediator and be bound by their decision on CWR after a match when we were still at the Ricoh - and Tim say no.

We don't know that it is still £14m that they have outstanding and we won't know until the audited accounts are published for ACL (at least they publish them). It's possible that they're suffering without our club and they've not made any payments, or are only paying the interest, or are doing...

Actually there have been changes to the law recently and websites like this one are now slightly better protected.

Will have to wait until I get home then as I don't have my tablet with me today.
