Why don't you write them down over the space of a year or two, then publish them? You'd make millions!! "Football Foughts and Opinions for Other Football Fans. By Sky Blue Jay PS F*ck off - It's Banter... seriously"

    Naïve question

I would think that the only thing that Joy does is set financial targets for the board and it's the board who make the final decision as to who goes.

so where are we right now CCFC wise

I was responding to the suggestion that any loss made by ACL could be subsidised through C/Tax.
  7. WillieStanley

so where are we right now CCFC wise

That would be illegal. Seeing as someone else has brought it up. CCFC aren't the only people overcharged by the council. Coventry City Council charge one of the highest rates of council tax in the country. More that double that of Westminster and a lot more that most of the London Boroughs.

    council may lower rent?

Due to the public perception of SISU, ACL/Mutton can make things as difficult as they like for CCFC and people will still keep the blame firmly at SISU's door. The power is with them. Muttin is exploiting this even more by talking of an increase. Whilst I'm not saying SISU aren't playing games...

so where are we right now CCFC wise

If I thought that any profits from ACL went in to the day to day running costs of Coventry as a city, then I would be with you. The truth is, the profits don't and what's more, since the opening of the Ricoh, services in the city have declined. The breakdown of how the council get their money...

    council may lower rent?

I know. I thought the rent was agreed at that price on the assumption we would make a swift return to the PL. Surely the council can see that £1.2m isn't sustainable even at Championship level. I'm not sure there is any intention to lower the rent. He is just trying to come out of this...

    All Jimmy Hill's work undone....

Do you mean the statue we very nearly weren't able to fund? Or the largely celebrated 50th anniversary kit?

Anyone starting to feel slighty optomistic?

Clarke and Hussey should tear it up in league 1. Christie should be just about there too! I'm really hoping the signings don't stop here. I fancy a trip to Wembley... I missed it last time!

    Roy O'Donovan

But lots of effort. Can't fault him for that. He may do well at this level. He was low on confidence at Hibs after his promise to fill Kings boots fell through. I'd get rid if there was a better replacement coming in, but not just for the sake of it. He serves a purpose.

    John "Johnny Rotten" Lydon

Wow!! Is there anything new to say. Although he never calls it by name, he is a socialist and I for one am looking forward to a socialist voice which isn't bound by it's own Party's policy/leaning. The sell-out bit. Well that's life, but the fact that the majority of the money he got from...

Deal agreed with rangers for John Fleck

I'm not sure what I'm more amazed at - that we've seemingly paid actual money for a young, talented midfiedler with bagsof potential, or that everyone on here is positive about it! Today is a good day. To quote a great man "Done, Done, On to the next one"

    Godiva Festival has cost 540k

But that's the point. The Government is there through democracy and as a believer in democracy, however socialist my view, I have to take it on the chin for the time. What I resent is a family claiming any superiority over any of us, feeling it justified for the country to keep them in luxery...
