I still view Villa as our main rivals and long for the day we play them again. To say they have forgotten about us is a little unfair, as they still brag about sending us down, they even advertise their "Greatest Villa Goals" DVD as "Including The Paul Merson Stunner That Sent Local Rivals...
Actually, I don't think he holds those views at all. I think its much darker. He views them as the most vulnerable in society. The least likely to make a noise and the easiest to demonise.
Presenting stats such as "99% of heroin users are on benefits" what does that lead people to think...
We should be giving a hand up and not a hand out.
Give an alcoholic or a drug addict a tenner without any of the other support, what do you think is going to happen? If you research Maslow you will learn a lot!
I'm one of the few that has always stuck by Murphy. No, he's not as good as Westy, but he's the best we're going to get and not the big liability some seem to think. Yes he's prone to a few errors, but he is ironing those out!!
Whilst I see where you are coming from, there are factors that you may not be aware of.
Whilst anyone might be able to do a job, most of the people you are referring to have never been giving the opportunity to learn the basic disciplines it takes to get a job and then hold one down...
Oh, if you want to see what's really holding this country back, I suggest you follow these links. The figures dwarf that of the welfare state.

It's getting an over haul at the moment. To the detriment of those who need it most. The things that have been proposed and the propositions that have already gone through are almost Victorian.
"Keep the dependent dependent" seems to be the ethos and it is quite literally killing people...
There's too many "what ifs" going on at the moment.
We are where we are. We appear to be building again. Look to the future because what has gone on in the past won't change. It appears our most recent SISU board are at least confronting the problem.
Why? Because they hired absolute idiots of a board last season. I think KD and co. may have had the budget to spend but prioritised cutting costs over all else.
Either that or SISU realised that having an unrealistic budget last year didn't work and are now trying to amend that.
Whatever...
I can't imagine that being true. As KD said, he's still got a point to prove. I can't imagine him having any further options at clubs similar in size to us. Not at the moment anyway.
