CCC: Not moving your team very far to be here are you? Wasps: A few miles. CCC: Oh okay, that's fine. Wasps: [Under their breath] from High Wycombe CCC: Did you say something? Wasps: Oh just that we have been temporarily based in High Wycombe whilst looking for/trying to build a stadium...

Except your money will be eaten at by inflation if under the mattress, the amount you can buy with it will diminish.

Club aims to raise £35m from bond

I read and agreed that I wasn't a resident of the USA, Japan, Jersey, Isle of Man, Mars etc. and clicked on Prospectus only to find that..... The prospectus link doesn't work on my tablet so I'll have to have a look at work tomorrow. However on the secured bonds page it says: To me that would...

Club aims to raise £35m from bond

Funnily enough I read that just after the article about boiler room sales tactics and whilst there is no connection between the two it made me laugh. For the record I was against the council selling to Wasps and I find this development just as unappealing.

    Crewe Match Thread

Thanks I've just read the thread Nick started on the subject and will say a small prayer tonight. My lunch ended just after their second goal went in and I then had to go and face customers with that nagging at the back of my mind.

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

Yeah I just checked and it was SBS&L not Otium, sorry for any confusion. I was posting from the train into work (trying not to fall over) and couldn't check easily.

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

They did make a late in the day offer to the Higgs via our old friend Mr Appleton who may (or may not) have had the option still as technically he had the remaining assets of Ltd. However Otium were also claiming to have the option because they had listed it in the accounts for £1m. The Higgs at...

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

Don't worry, don't think you were the first person to say that in the thread. Those wigs look itchy. Getting told off for reading this during Masterchef now.

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

Both sides had no appetite for a deal after a long length of time after initial contact and called it a nill all draw I think.

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

I thought it was the Higgs match not the JR one where Joy's 'appetite' was brought up. Happy to be corrected if wrong.

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

I realised at a while ago (having read someone else's post) that they had made an investment in the Ricoh - however well intentioned it was supposed to be - it was still an investment just like Joy made in our Club. "The value of your investments can go down as well as up so you may get back...

What's your Match Day Costs ?

When I could get to games it was usually £30+ for the train ticket. £20-£25 for the taxi to/from the station (if close to kick off) unless sharing the cab*. Or about £3 for plus bus ticket if I was early enough. Had sandwiches on the train to eat for lunch. Used to average about £15-£20 a game...
