Club aims to raise £35m from bond

Ah yes but if Sisu had successfully bought the Higgs share, before pissing off the council then they could have blocked any sale of the council share couldn't they?

It also means that we should have bought their share ASAP.

    I've edited the thread title.

    Bournemouth Loss

I should have highlighted the text my post referred to, would have made thibgs clearer. My point was that had we been in the same position as Bournemouth there would have been little if any work needed (and therefore less cost) to alter the Ricoh to get it to Premier league standards. Instead we...

    Bournemouth Loss

And we didn't have a premier league compliant stadium within our grasp......When do we get to hear about the new stadium location RFC?

Club aims to raise £35m from bond

Well they managed to sit there and say that moving sports teams is wrong when Sisu do it with us and then welcome one with open arms moving from miles away. That's certainly hypocrisy and to my mind stupidity.

My word the two faced council just come out of this looking better & better and smelling of roses

Thank goodness for that, went out for a few after work and haven't been so relieved for ages. Another year of league one football to look forward to and the football league show to look forward to tonight.

Joe Elliot: Even He Likes Wasps

I'm not trying to make excuses for Saint Joe of Coventry. I'm just saying that in general 20:20 hindsight is wonderful thing.

Joe Elliot: Even He Likes Wasps

Not sure he knew what they would turn into when he did. But classic foot in mouth over the rugby, he could work for the council with that attitude.

Club aims to raise £35m from bond

Very possibly, although once again we don't know the full details. And I should have put two faced hypocritical in front of council in that post.

Club aims to raise £35m from bond

It is possible (and this is only my opinion if there are lawyers reading this) that the Higgs were only told about the deal for Wasps buying the council shares once it became necessary to do so, confidentially clauses and all that. Wasps according to Lucas approached the council first, not ACL...

    hypothetical question

No because the relegation to the Championship was a horrific experience likewise (although to a lesser extent) the drop to League one. I don't want to go through that again and I don't ever want to see us playing 4th division football. Yes Sisu are hardly the best owners in the world and I'd...

    Mike Ashley.

That's not something I or anyone I work with does. You should not be doing what was alleged in that programme. Think I know what will be the hot topic of conversation at work tomorrow.

Nah Wasps are into their confidentiality contracts apparently.

Club aims to raise £35m from bond

I asked something like this whilst we were self exiled in Northampton and was told not to worry. They'd never get a tenant for the stadium and to be fair I suspect everyone was assuming that the council wouldn't be two faced and hypocritical and agree to sell to someone from many many miles away.
