    FA Cup 5th Round

Great draw. We'll get beat no doubt but nobody would expect anything else, and most teams left in the draw would beat us anyway. Chance for a 4.5K following that will be rocking. And anyway, you never know, just how sweet would that be

    FA Cup 5th Round

5 of the 8 games are televised aren't they? Good chance it would be.

    FA Cup 5th Round

They had 13K on Saturday against a Championship side. Might be more next round but not much of a payday. Leicester away for me.

    Coronavirus

Could all be nothing, but there will one day be a mutated flu virus that wreaks havoc. Just a matter of time. Will be a few more false alarms before then I'm sure, although this seems pretty horrendous for those that have it.

    Match of the day....

Did people really stay up to watch highlights of a game in which there were no highlights? The O'Hare miss had been widely shared, not sure what else people were hoping to see. Don't blame the BBC for burying the footage tbh.

Which is exactly what I said, on the day itself there was no love between the two sets of supporters, which was totally expected as there was lots of talk before the game about which pubs to avoid, keep your head down etc. You're going on as if everyone is surprised and that we thought we'd all...

    Replay

Yep, may have misjudged it, but don't think it will be much more but hope it is.. Blues fans saying they expect the Tilton will be closed for this and that they'll only have 8K or so. The novelty has gone. Three Tuesdays on the bounce at SA will take its toll.

There was no love-in though. That's what the 7 pages of this thread have been about.

    Replay

Can't see more than 3K to be honest, 2K if it's on TV. I can't see people falling over themselves to go to a midweek game at a ground we'll visit on 30 other occasions this season. SA fatigue will kick in with a lot of regulars.

In retrospect, it wasnt a good move. I said I'd pop my head in and see what the vibe was like. Apart from a few Blues lads getting lively early on, it was fine and in the end was 80% Cov and no issues so stayed. It didn't help that the police tweeted that all pubs around the ground were Blues...

I've never liked that chant, and singing it around the streets of Birmingham is idiotic in the circumstances. Then again, Blues fans singing 'Coventry's a shit hole, that's why you play here' repeatedly didn't get me foaming at the mouth either, just laughed at it. It's just shit banter.

With all due respect, how do you know? I don't, not involved with that scene and never have been, but in 25 years following Cov away there have been times I have have witnessed stuff that was far from embarrassing (in that sense anyway). Yesterday was nothing to do with that anyway. You had 11K...

Agree. Don't miss many away games myself, but with 2 other midweek trips to SA in Feb I'll swerve this I think.

Can't see tickets for the replay being in high demand for them (or us). Today was a novelty for them. Crowd will be lower than today's by some distance.

Match Thread Coventry City vs. Birmingham City Match Thread - Saturday 25th Jan

It was just a recent cup game I chose as a comparison. It was OK, and had the game been different and there had been some goals in it, I'm sure it would have been bouncing. Didn't find it particularly intense, so we'll just have to agree to disagree.

Match Thread Coventry City vs. Birmingham City Match Thread - Saturday 25th Jan

Compared to the Stoke game a couple of years ago it was nowhere near. The game was different though, and had we scored it would have erupted. Thought Blues fans were quiet second half too.

It was OK, but didn't live up to the occasion imo. First couple of games there were better.
