Sky Blues Tavern and the Anecdote

The club wouldn't allow an independent business to profit by using it's name without receiving royalties.

Yep, especially Dhillons which I think will be a game changer. It provides a large venue close to the ground that will feel like a proper place to have a beer pre-match. The casino is a weird place to drink before a game; shit beer, escalators and waterfalls, just doesn't feel right and won't...

SBT yes, it's a joint venture. Anecdote I'd say almost certainly not.

Indeed it was, but it was a Friday night and was only a tenner. Plus the homecoming element just seemed more significant and it all occurred after the season had started and it was all very sudden and it just had that momentum. Look at it another way though, we may have sold out for that game...

Just compare Northampton with Forest and you get a decent feel. Anyway, don't forget there are 1500 or so corporate seats whose dots you can't count :giggle:. The crowd will be decent, but will be bettered many times this season. As soon as it was selected for TV it killed it. It'll be a...

You're looking at it the wrong way round. The difference between the ground plan showing just ST holders and sales for Sunday shows way more than 2K have gone, by a mile. Think of it the other way around, if only 12K are sold, then from the 26K available on 3 sides of the ground to home fans...

I'm not counting dots, sod that! But this is block 17 with just ST holders, this block is now almost full and this is repeated in many other blocks. Could be wrong though, it wouldn't be the first time.

No chance only 12K sold, where are you getting this from? Way more than that.

    Forest

Not sure why people are fretting. East Stand filling up nicely. Only singles in many blocks. Tickets behind the goal starting to move, come the game wouldn't be surprised if the middle blocks were close to sold out. It ain't going to be a sell out, or close to it, but it'll be 20K+ and...

    Forest

In the latter years at HR that was impossible, the home capacity was only 18,500. At the Ricoh, between 2005 and 2012, I'd say only 15-20 times 20K+ home fans. After relegation it was never going to happen outside of special occasions.

    Forest

It's more than that I think. If you compare the ground plan for Forest and Northampton you can see a fair few have been shifted over and above season tickets.

    Forest

The flipside to that, in 2005/6 and 2006/7 we had just under 10K season ticket holders yet averaged 21K and 20K. Cannot see an average of 2.5K away fans across the season also, in 2019/20, only 2 clubs in the entire championship averaged more than 2.5K (Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday). They'll...

    Forest

Saw it mentioned at the weekend that they have sold about 2.5K with 1,300 left from their allocation. Just a random Forest fan on Twitter though, so might be a few days out of date.

I'm not sure that you can dismiss the arguments around bodily autonomy by just calling everyone a dipshit. For a healthy 20 year old to refuse the vaccine isn't necessarily because they're being contrarian or listening to crazies, it might be simply that they've concluded that they don't need...

Friendlies don't usually float my boat, but really looking forward to today. In just over an hour I'll be setting off to a game on foot, making that short walk for the first time in 826 days. Also think we'll put that pre-season angst to bed today.

Fair enough. Bit of mixed messaging perhaps. Will give it a try, always one last visit to casino if not.

Just a heads up re the Anecdote, club stated yesterday it will be open tomorrow, but when I messaged them directly they said it is a ticketed warm up event and won't be open to everyone.

    Masks at the Arena

You'd like to think so, but it didn't happen, not helped when groups of scientists would sign joint letters objecting to the lifting of restrictions without there being any scientific modelling done to predict the impact of not lifting restrictions. Maybe this was done and the government had...
