I agree. SISU have no money, the FA might think they owe Hoffman a favour and if ACL say they will never deal with SISU again, then there is a whole different scenario. Don't give up hope yet.

The Football League need to quickly discuss with somebody whether the club can fulfil next season's fixtures and where the home fixtures will be played. That somebody will also have to convince the League that they have sufficient funding to meet their financial commitments for the season...

I don't think it says it is legal or illegal. What it does say is that the council has absolute discretion - rather a difficult assertion to overcome by legal challenge.

My point is that it doesn't matter now where the Golden Share was - it isn't there now and only the Football League can decide if it will be returned to that company or to any company in the group.

Do the League have to say much more? As far as their regulations go, the club, or an important part of it, is in administration so they have taken back the right to be part of the Football League. Whatever entity comes out of this current mess will have to apply for that right.

All of the management fees are owed to SISU and this appears to be a sizeable chunk of the debt.

I think those connections might be a little overplayed and even if they weren't and the connections were imprudent enough to get involved, that really would give our newspapers and politicians a story. How would a headline like "American Congressman bankrolls plot to bankrupt British charity" go...

Because this is not a hedge fund investment. SISU do manage a hedge fund, but the purchase and running of CCFC is a separate, unconnected venture and as such the original investors were probably given a time scale of 5,6 or 7 years after which time the venture would be sold or wound up. Guess...

Even if this was remotely true, why would they choose to throw away several million on something they are unlikely to win? Anyone with that kind of money didn't get it and hang on to it by backing hopeless cases like SISU in this sad mess.
