    Coventry avoid squad crisis....

So these four players are the reason we got relegated then? It's all down to them?

    We got relegated :(

    Coventry avoid squad crisis....

The only way this is going to get turned around is if everyone works together - mutual respect, trust and understanding of what everyone needs to achieve and formulating plans to achieve this - instead we have everyone at one another's throats What we actually have now is: Pissed off Club...

EXACTLY my point - SIGN the new contract on our terms or you don't play and you're out - THANKS BULLYING and THAT's constructive dismissal which is not only unfair but it's ILLEGAL

    Coventry avoid squad crisis....

That's not going to happen while SISU are chasing the huge pile of cash they put in originally and for sure they will start clawing it back just as soon as they can - any financial progress we do make will go back to them not the club IMO

    Coventry avoid squad crisis....

For the record I'm not particularly pro or anti SISU to be honest - I'm just against this whole approach by SISU - rent contract - players contracts - where will it end? Are they just going to refuse to pay the contracted price on anything and everything? Who will want to deal with us going...

Wasn't there a mention that players who didn't sign amended contracts wouldn't be played?

    Coventry avoid squad crisis....

I have no problem whatsoever with the new contracts for new players that makes perfect sense to me - what I object to is the bullying of players on existing contracts - contracts which were put in place under SISU's ownership - it's completely unfair to the individual - if you can agree a new...

No I'm sorry this is a disgrace... this is not the way... honour your contracts SISU - you are ruining our clubs reputation

Short answer is they can't change the contracts unless the players agree to the changes

    sky blues in court today

If ACL have gone this far then I can't see them backing down on this - CCFC will HAVE to pay and pay in full whatever is in the contract - there is no right in law to simply insist on a re-negotiation on this sort of contact - SISU will have to put the money in if it's not there in the CCFC bank...

    Coventry avoid squad crisis....

IF it is true it makes perfect sense for the club to cut costs of legacy contracts - IF it is true we will have one hugely demotivated bunch of players which is just an appalling way to start our attack on this league

    sky blues in court today

Doesn't make much sense to me if they have any serious intent on negotiating for a stake in the ground and this is what worries me the most

    sky blues in court today

If you can't pay your debts when they fall due then you are insolvent and directors of CCFC are then legally obligated to get the funds in immediately to cover them OR call in the administrators as they are over-trading which is illegal

    sky blues in court today

Can't be as soft as that - I would expect the court to tell them to pay what they are contractually obligated to pay when they are supposed to pay it CCFC are going to get a winding up order if they are not very very careful here IMO

What Carl Baker's a Virgin!! all makes perfect sense now what with him not being very good at scoring... oh hang on a minute miss-read that one

    Playing Devil's Advocate

Sadly I have to agree with you here - the club is still suffering long term affects from the initial (pre-SISU) spending spree and resultant financial disaster - SISU still have a huge chunk of that debt which is still owed by CCFC to them - they will want this back eventually one way or...

For an employment law perspective I would say they could do this to a player if they wanted to quite legally
