What is best for the Tax Payer?

No, because it made sound financial sense to everyone except SISU and a few people that have an unhealthy hatred for ACL.

What is best for the Tax Payer?

There is uproar because over 90% of the population of Coventry don't watch CCFC and many of them would have a real problem with a council owned asset being sold, at a loss, to a private equity fund that has shown scant regard for the people of Coventry.

Maybe, but that was before anyone had a true picture of quite how deep the hole was that SISU had dug for themselves. And as they still seem to be digging, it would be rather rude of the other side to interrupt.

What is best for the Tax Payer?

If you don't believe he would be worse off, then is there any reason why every council in the country shouldn't give all their assets to your favourite private equity fund?

A few people on here seem to be mixing up ACL and the council. The judicial review is aimed at the council, not ACL.

What is best for the Tax Payer?

Perhaps, but they could save a fortune by sacking the idle buggers that spend all day posting on internet forums rather than doing the job they are paid to do.

What is best for the Tax Payer?

Rather easier to adapt a football stadium than a football club.

What is best for the Tax Payer?

Absolutely right - and those urging the council to do something should realise that councils do not have an obligation to find accomodation for homeless football clubs or to assist private equity funds to make money.

Les Reid brought a lot of the criticism he has received down on his own head. Far too many of his articles seem to be about Les Reid and how clever he has been to secure an "exclusive" rather than just presenting the facts. It is hardly surprising, therefore, that so many should turn on him...

What I am saying is, since you spend so much time with those witty and intelligent folk on GMK, why do your posts remind me of the ramblings on the walls of the school toilets?

Apologise to you, I would rather put my balls in a blender. I don't know what you are referring to, but compared to you, Schmee's posts are some of the sanest, most articulate and witty jottings I have ever read. (sorry Schmee, I realise this isn't the most flattering of comparisons)

Belittling racism and rape - you really are beneath contempt.

    Ccfc website down again

Don't you mean the club have separated themselves from the community?

I do hope ACL are charging them rent for having their server at the Ricoh.

    on sky sports now

Who knows what charade they are playing. I am just saying that there is a stadium (Nene Park) worth damn all as it stands and a football club (CCFC) worth damn all. Put them together and you might have a saleable proposition. Fall back position if SISU can't get the Ricoh at a knockdown price...

    on sky sports now

I think most of us realise that SISU don't have the money to build a new stadium nor to buy the Ricoh at a fair price, so what is all this latest posturing about and who is it aimed at? Could it be that they are laying down the foundations of building an argument they can take to the Football...

Nice to see a late entry for this month's "This Thread Is Over My Head So I Will Drag It Down To My Level Award", but you had had already won it - as you do every month.

It would be interesting if someone with a few bob took charge at Coventry RFC. For a much smaller investment than in football, an ambitious owner could get the club into the RFU Premiership. Average attendances in the that league are about 12k and local matches against Leicester or Northampton...
