    Stuart Linnell should be sacked

I shouldn't worry - any credibility he had has gone! Yesterday he hated thorn, today thorn was a master tactician!!

    A new low

I think it does show the depth of distrust of SISU though that ACL can state they sought administration to stop the liquidation of the club and they are believed. Either way you look at it - it seems it is time for SISU to go (let's hope Haskell blumenthall the vth has found a few extra billion£.

    Well done sisu

I have to say if I was to win £150m on the lottery would I want to invest in ccfc - the club I've supported since a kid? The answer is no - the fans would expect me to chuck far more in than my £150m and, if anyone stuck up for me after chucking in say £50m, someone like MMM would call them a...

    It's confirmed 10 points

Err.....yes they did!!!! See the argument presented by Hilary Stonefrost (ACL's Barrister) for confirmation that ACL argued that exact point.

Why are the FL taking so long?

Is there such a thing as quick fix litigation? In my view as soon as lawyers are consulted the parties have lost and the only winners are the lawyers (and yes I've seen the costs of litigation - approx £1k per day for a barrister and somewhere between £250 - £500 per hour for a partner level...

Why are the FL taking so long?

Absolutely untrue (and I'm speaking as a qualified non-practising arbitrator). Arbitration was started, and meant to be, a cheaper alternative to litigation without the costs associated with it (ie legal representation).. However, it didn't take long before solicitors and barristers joined...

Why are the FL taking so long?

Whilst I tend to agree with everything you state here I have to say, in fairness to ACL, arbitration is far more expensive than litigation (as you have to pay for the venue and the arbitrator) and, perhaps, that is why ACL favoured litigation? Obviously, the major advantage of arbitration is...

Why are the FL taking so long?

Just out of interest, and this is a serious question, how would you vet any new owners to ensure that they meet the high standards that it is deemed are required to run this football club?

£60m debt. Sisu doubters proved correct

Yes, you're correct - I was just trying to explain based upon experience from "normal" business as to how one creditor can be more important than another (I was well down the pecking order as an employee).

Half stakes for sale - £4m and £40m

I'm not sure it would be £120m - a piece of real estate is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it and, I think, the only people that have got that sort of money lying around are people like pension funds and the church that are willing to invest for the very long term. Most owners...

£60m debt. Sisu doubters proved correct

There are differences in priority of debt, with those like HM customs and excise normally having a first charge meaning they get paid out before others (the administrator also falls into this category). ACL would be an unsecured creditor meaning they are last in line. I'm not sure what SISU...

£60m debt. Sisu doubters proved correct

If ccfc is in administration it is the administrators job to realise the best deal for the debtors - that doesn't mean someone would have to pay £60m to buy the club. The debt and a purchase cost are unrelated.

    High Court Match Thread

I would guess that the judge is allowing the parties time to agree things between themselves.

Unless he thought Falkirk were about to sack him I can't see how he can't be regretting his decision.

    High Court Match Thread

I agree they are robust words, and suggest he thought she was untruthful, but I've seen similarly strong, and stronger, words used. You have to remember judges are always aware of a parties right to appeal so have to provide reasons for their decisions.

    High Court Match Thread

No doubt I'll be branded a SISU apologist (which I'm not) but it isn't unusual to see remarks like that made in the decision of a judge/arbitrator/adjudicator. Often you will have two parties saying completely different things, without written evidence backing up either side, and it will be...

    Interestingly...ahead of tomorrow:

True, I guess this is a just a directions hearing. If the judge has to agree things, rather than the parties, than there will need to be a full hearing which will take some time. Generally, the solicitors will know the rough direction a decision will go in though and will drive the parties...

    SISU the future

No, I guess most people do.

    Interestingly...ahead of tomorrow:

That's very true. Fraud is a criminal act and this is being heard in a civil court.

    Interestingly...ahead of tomorrow:

If the admin is reversed option 2 is an option for the parties to agree upon by consent - and a consent order can be issued by the court. This is civil law, not criminal law, as long as the parties aren't agreeing anything illegal they can agree anything including the jurisdiction of the...
