Agree, teams on great runs sometimes lose to the most unlikely opponents. Liverpool went forever not losing at home. Think they put 8 past Palace in a cup match then lost their home record to them later in the season.
There will always be players that are singled out (often unfairly) for excessive criticism. When we were promoted to the top division going 25 matches unbeaten, Mick Kearns received dreadful abuse. Greg Downs (for not being Stuart Pearce) until we won the Cup. Loads more. Doesn't matter how well...
I remember going on the Sheff Utd board two seasons ago and they were laughing that we expected to beat them at their place. We were never really in it.
In the Prem, against Liverpool, Man U, Villa, Wolves, Chelsea, Man City, Forest, Newcastle, Spurs and even Leicester if they were still there (very unlikely) demand would exceed supply. This assumes we can offer away fans high numbers.
If Lati had passed to Haji near the end instead of putting over a seriously shit cross when he broke free near the end, there may have been a different observation.
My favourite shirt story is the Clapton away kit (commemorating the international brigade in the Spanish civil war). Sold shit loads in Spain selling over 20k shirts for a Non-league club.
