I get we got stuffed at Leeds this season using this, but sometimes the Robins and Viveash plan of playing two defensive wide players against the top 3 away gives you a better chance of getting something out of the game. They used Maatsen, JDS and MVE in the wide attacking roles several times.

He has a mouth like a poodles arse. I didn't mind it when he played for us.

I disagree. We looked toothless up front until the last 10 minutes. The defence was all over the place and they should realistically have scored 5. We escaped an even worse drop in our goal difference. Their goalie had virtually no saves to make. Our first corner was way into the second half...

    Initial prognosis

Agree. He deliberately tried to wind up Grimes at the start, was late on Dovin and MWE leaving them both needing treatment. The ref was soft on Sheff Utd.

    The final 8

My worry is every game for us is against a team that either needs points to stay up or to get into the playoffs. Even Portsmouth who are not safe can be a tough proposition on their day, like Derby. The Middlesborough game may be easy if one team is out of contention. We look pants away...

Managers who think they are going to win often do. No point winding up the opposition. See Notts County when we played them at their place in the playoff semi.

    Loans (again)

Ayari looked a classy footballer with a good touch and passing ability who was way too lightweight for the rough and tumble of the Championship. Teams targeted him as a weak link like they do Tatsu ie they kicked Ayari out of the game whilst Tatsu is older and more savvy, but has still sustained...

    Coventry City 101 Greatest Goals

Greatest goals off the top of my head: Houtch at Wembley. Hudson, think it was against Southampton. Hunt free kick against Everton. Huckerby against Man U.

MR, great for us. Deserves credit. Hope he keeps Stoke up, but want us to get promoted more.

    Haters thread

Completely agree with the teams and players except our old boys. Preston and all their players a worthy substitute. And Shit on the Villa, of course. Fully triggered. Gus and Callum who were great for us and went on to earn way more money than we could afford. Both players given me some of the...

    Leicester

Leicester have gone PL wise. If they screw their manager recruitment in the Championship it could be problems for them. However, I said that last time they came down. Surely, Vardy's contract is up now? Hope not.

This and Burnley two hardest games of the season. Win these and it's on. Lose both and it's touch and go.

    Summer Transfer Window

Man City lawyers have proved the football authorities were wrong to put in place the FFP rules that were voted on by all the PL clubs. Man City may be off the hook. As Bob Dylan said, Money doesn't talk it swears.

Eccles Injured for rest of the season

Obikwu was going to a higher league on loan but it fell through when he got injured. Some players have a quantum leap in form. Wilson and Vic are examples. Most just fall away and ply their trade at a much lower level. Andrews looks the most likely at present. Bassette and Raphael need to step...

    Loans (again)

Think shit owners were the reason sacking a good manager and replacing with a poor one. Their new manager looks good and they will give us a good game soon. Forest were near the bottom, took out the max loans and got promoted. The common denominator is the manager and the quality of the loans...

Eccles Injured for rest of the season

Think the important word is "hope". Rudi may be able to nurse a dislocated shoulder until the end of the season, or it goes again and its a pin and out until next season. Sheaf seems to have been struggling with injuries all season. He has not looked at his best whenever he comes back. BTA and...
