    Ex Player Watch

I think one person wanted him. Wasn't it the guy who provides undecipherable graphs?

    Milan Van Exit

Sorry to poo poo your story from the Villa physio you know, but surely nobody is training right now? Its still a week until the beginning of July, which is when Championship teams usually start back at training.

Players who we signed but never played in the First Team (or played just one game). Go !

Mick Harford and Chris Whyte only played once, but both played a big part for us in those games.

    Matchday Rewind Arsenal 0 - 3 Coventry City | Sat, 14 Aug, 1993

The Clock End was closed so City fans were put in the stand next to it, but there were probably only about a 1,000 of them. I was in a group of 8 London based City fans that got tickets in the Arsenal seats close to the City fans. We kept fairly quiet until the 2nd goal but all stood and cheered...

    Matchday Rewind Arsenal 0 - 3 Coventry City | Sat, 14 Aug, 1993

To be fair while Quinn obviously deserved MoM for the goals, Wegerle and Ndlovu also tore their famed defence apart. It also looked like we had unveiled a future star in Tony Sheridan, unfortunately his career with us effectively ended within the next week.

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

We need to see how Bassette is looking pre-season, but I'm not sure loaning him out is a good move on our part. There is no way he will go on loan to league 1 regardless.

Favourite XI since relegation from PL

Trying to fit in a Lampard 4-3-3 off the top of my head my team would be: Westwood Van Ewijk McFadzean Turner Fox Rudoni Hamer Doyle Baker Gyokeres McSheffrey

    Wright

I don't agree with the Haji hate and am with those who think we are better keeping him, but I don't see the point in finding an alternative hate figure instead. Morrell was not garbage. Yes he didn't have the quality that Stern John had, but you can't have a team of Stern John's or Haji...

Blog The One Goal Club: Conor Thomas

He scored twice, once at West Ham and once at home to Norwich in the cup.

    Matchday Rewind Coventry City 2 - 1 Sunderland | Sun, 06 Aug, 2006

Think this was Mcsheffrey's last game before we sold him to Birmingham, which swiftly brought our hopes down for the season ahead

    Your personal City cult hero

Andy Blair, David Phillips, David Smith, Sean Flynn, Cedric Roussel, Carl Baker and Michael Doyle are players that I always found myself routing for, despite a sizable number of our support being critical of them.

So where does hamer go now?

Did that actually happen? I remember reading at the time a comment that everyone on the coach realised Hamer and Gyokores were leaving, but that is different to them actually standing up and announcing to everyone that they were leaving.

    Wright

Despite being disappointed by his play off performances, after seeing some of the possible replacements touted on here I think I would rather stick with Wright. Despite his lacklustre demeanour, injury free he is a cert for 15+ goals, which is not the case for his possible replacements. I also...

    Eccles

I thought Eccles had a really good cameo tonight, with his injury unfortunately coming from a vital block. Probably depends whether Sheaf stays, but I don't think its a certainty that Eccles will leave in the Summer.

Match Thread Coventry v Sunderland Championship Playoff 1st Leg Friday 9th May

One of my old bosses is a Sunderland fan and has told me that their fans are apparently planning on mobbing the route of the team bus on its way to the stadium tomorrow night!

    Evening form

Sky put some stats up during the first leg showing we have scored far and away more goals from crosses and more headed goals than any other team in the Championship which obviously goes against your point. I think sometimes our problem is partly that we often delay the first crossing opportunity...

Match Thread Sunderland - Coventry City Match Thread - Tuesday 13th May

Scoring the first goal is more crucial than ever on Tuesday night. Its going to be interesting to see if Sunderland adopt the same tactics though, as its the tactics adopted by a smaller inferior club playing a 'bigger' team, and goes against how their fans feel about their club, whereby they...

    Errors Leading To Goals

Not seen it back yet but could Wilson have brought the player down? Their player was outside the box so there wouldn't have been a penalty as a result, although Wilson could obviously then have been sent off, and we'd have had Collins back in goal in his place!

    Forte Disallowed Goal

I think we had Notts County's number on that night regardless. The Middlesbrough play off game had me much more on edge.
