Nice one. I was out on the course at Holyhead Rd and then Tamworth Rd. Nice day for it. Never ceases to amaze me what dickheads a lot of Cov public can be... there's been signs up all over town about the road closures, yet still a lot of people think they can ignore it and drive down closed...

Admittedly i haven't poked my head out the door yet, but looks alright at the moment. Will be heading out in half hour, down towards Holyhead Rd.

I'll be out on the course tomorrow, probably Holyhead Rd and then Tamworth Rd, supporting a few clubmates. One, who won the Northbrook 10km, might have a shout of winning tomorrow. Cov Parkrun this morning in 18:50, followed by 8 x 150mtr hill sprints... a very tough end to a hard week.

Mile reps with Godiva last night in the Warwick Uni campus. 5 miles, 1,3,5 ran hard, 2 & 4 ran a bit easier. Hard miles 5:43 5:49 5:49 Easy miles both 7:10 Surprising how much more difficult the session is when you speed up those easy miles a little. Last time i did this session i did the...

Hoka's are decent but i think you either love 'em or hate 'em. I personally think technology has moved on a bit and you can get equally comfortable shoes that are much less chunky. But there's no denying they are comfortable. If you just want something basic then Nike Pegasus are the staple...

Midlands cross country relays today in Wolverhampton. Good run for me.... 22:14 for 6km across the grass and a bit of mud. Although it was a couple of hundred metres short of the advertised 6km. Good to see teams there from Nuneaton, Northbrook, Massey and Sphinx. Godiva first team were 9th...

Hill reps last night alongside the A45, from down towards Canley Fire Station, up onto the train bridge at Costco. Foul night, got soaked, but at least it was warm. Tomorrow is the Midland Cross Country Relay Champs, next to the Wolves Academy. Due to the proportion of over-35's available for...

Didn't take long for certain Sunderland fans to claim their death-mocking is "totally different". This is where football fans (as a collective entity) fall down....... they'll try and justify anything in their own favour.

Whilst our away following is seriously impressive, i don't see either of those happening. Would be great if they did though.

Good going, well done on the pb. Its amazing the variation in parkruns in a small area...... if i'd gone to Bedworth today i'd have won by over a minute.... at Cov i was 17th. Was just pleased to run a satisfactory time straight off the back of a hard week..... (race last saturday, two...

Did Cov Parkrun this morning in 18:40ish, as part of a club session. Then we were straight into 8 x 150mtr hill reps, which were pretty tortuous.

Hill session last night, on the hill that runs up to the Medical Block at Warwick Uni. As hills are somewhat my speciality, i made a valiant effort to stick to the faster guys for the session. This worked to a point, but i dropped off the pace for the final 3 reps (of 11) 9 miles for the...

To try and be generous to Wright.... He made some good runs into space for long balls, and obviously worried their defence... He's obviously a handful.... but end product was awful. He (and Simms) need a goal and hopefully we'll see some confidence.

It sounded poor on the telly. But monday night, poor performance, and poor away end probably massive contributors to that.

Midlands 6 Stage Road Relays today at Sutton Park. For me it was very pleasing. Ran 21:48 for just under 6km which was a pb on that course by 55 seconds. Went through 5km in 18:34 which was again very pleasing as it is a hilly course. Our first team were a bit below par today and came in...

Last night was our final grass session of the year. 3 x 1 mile cross-country reps with about a minute jog recovery. Saturday is the Midlands 6 Stage Road Relays at Sutton Coldfield. Need to finish in the top 25 to qualify for the National a fortnight later at the same venue. I'm running 4th...

Nice one. Yes Bedworth has an off-road section with a couple of hairpins and it was decidedly slippy this morning, and a couple of stiff hills. Although the hills slowed me down, they helped me keep hold of 4th place as a youth from Nun Harriers was chasing me down, but my strength on the...

Did Bedworth Parkrun this morning. It was a bit of a spur of the moment thing, and off the back off two tough sessions this week i wasn't expecting great things.... so fairly content with 19:08 and 4th place. Much cooler than last weekend at Warwick which helped a lot.
