EXCLUSIVE: Coventry City chairman Tim Fisher dismisses takeover rumours and insists Mark...

I still think something different is happening, and TF's comments reinforce that in my mind. I can't remember such positive comments being made when we were relegated last time, whether bullshit or not, and his comments completely contradict what he has been saying over the last few months...

    Robins first fixture target

No they didn't but 47 points was enough, Shrewsbury ended up with 50 and were in trouble until either the final game or the one before that. 10 games out both Gillingham and Southend were fighting to finish in the playoffs so had everything to play for. My original post was about whether the 7...

    Robins first fixture target

Agree that its unlikely but just saying it's not that uncommon for a team to totally collapse over a period of 10 games. Last season in the last 10 games if I am reading the soccerstats.com tables correctly, Southend got 5 points, Shrewsbury got 6, and Gillingham got 7

    Robins first fixture target

Thing is though, we shouldn't just look at Bury and Oldham. In many past seasons a team has fallen catastrophically from mid table into danger. There are 7 teams above the relegation zone on 43 or less.

An Appointment that has more Questions than Answers !

Didn't sell players in January despite 3 offers for Stevenson, no need to sack Slade at this point, but anyway could have appointed Ricketts and saved money. It could not have been easy for Robins to accept after how he left. All this adds up to something more IMO

    The Plan

None of this explains why they didn't capitalise of offers for Stevenson, Willis, Haynes etc. in January (assuming the bids / interest was genuine)

    Let it go

There was a thread on here the other day about how many clubs have gone from the premiership (or old L1) to L2 and back again. I was surprised how many there have been. I'm sure each and every fan felt despondent at the bottom of their club's cycle and that's understandable. And yes I know they...

    Next Season's Kit

Actually that's a good idea, we could form a company called Sisu-Out and sponsor the shirt. Fisher keeps telling us that Sisu and CCFC are separate entities so it shouldn't be a problem to him.

Anyone up for a bit of bogus bidding? :D

The thing is though if someone doesn't pay you have to wait a couple of weeks before you can escalate it. So if someone has bought them and now waits to see if they can get some at face value then they probably won't pay. Just a thought.

And no one can spell Aiyegbeni, and it didn't used to fit on his shirt, although it does now.

    Yakubu's fitness...

Yes and that's been our weak point in several games, not being able to punish teams who over commit near the end.

    Well we won atlast but....

Nerves on our part and the opposition's expectation that if they throw everything forward they will score. Lets face it with our goalscoring record they aren't risking much at the other end with that tactic, and it pushes us back into defence. If we could punish a couple of teams with late goals...

    Relegation thread

Have looked through as many february tables as I can and compared them with final positions, and can't find any team that has done it, also I have been a keen football supporter for over 50 years and can't remember it happening, I used to be good at remembering results and keen on statistics...
